As an adult with a kid who loves Lego with about 70sets himself I have bought 1 18+ set so far for myself and that was the tallneck from horizon. I can also see the fatigue setting in for him that now everything is starting to be bigger and bigger builds that are just set pieces

Im a adult but some of my favorite sets are the 15-100 dollar play sets, my first legos in a long time were the hoth at-st and the tie fighter. Really wish we got some lower priced lotr, vikings, and knights sets love star wars too ofc.

When i go into stores, there are very few expensive sets, most are below 40$. I mean, for local reality LEGOs are still expensive as duck, and that's probably the reason why 18+ sets are not not shelfs.

Driving to get that many Duplo is nuts but driving through Ohio to get that many Duplo is insanely nuts. 😂 Build looks amazing though and that many Mando mini figs must have ran you guys a lot of $. Those super mandos are not cheap lol.

For "bulk" stuff...I sort by a blend of part-type and color. Like, all the 2x2+ bricks of a certain color, all the 2x2+ plates of a certain color, and so on. And the same for the 1x2+ bricks and plates, and the 4x4+ and so on. That way, anything that's commonly foundational that I'm likely to need a lot of, is all together by color for the most part, but its not a wildly mixed pile I'll never find specific pieces in. They're all pretty easily discernible. For specialty pieces, annoyingly tiny pieces, and things I'm not likely to need much of...but that can really be a real pain to dig through, I sort entirely by part type.

I’m a huge technic fan. Especially the cars. Although I may splurge and still buy those 450 dollar cars. There’s so many adults that just can’t swing that money. It’s a damn shame. IMO pretty soon Lego is either going to crash or they’re going to be forced to lower prices. Especially with a lot of these knock off companies putting out the same sets that are 90% the quality of Lego for over half the price.
