Oh how sad you didn’t like it. I loved it! I’ve seen it three times already. I think it’s also about the loss of innocence with Johnny being the 50’s thinking he is Marlon Brando and the kid representing the punk rock type 70’s and he’s truly messed up and wants the bad side of this culture, the power. Johnny didn’t want that but he allowed it to turn a corner after Benny got beat up. I also think Benny grew a bunch by the end showing he could find happiness after all. I want people to see this film so we get more films with authentic real characters instead of so many big loud and fake ones.
@BoomanReviews27 күн бұрын
(spoilers) I actually really like that interpretation of the plot. I'm not sure. I totally agree that Johnny lost his innocence due to him being all too willing to burn down a bar that was owned by a man who had nothing to do with his friend getting injured. I know that is the breaking point for him that you are referencing, but I felt like that had always been in Johnny. He was predisposed to being violent, but I'd be willing to give it another watch from the perspective you shared with me. I also agree with you that Benny grew a lot, but I found it a bit unsavory that he heard motorcycle engines in the movie's last scene because, in my opinion, that tells me Benny has learned nothing. His infatuation with that lifestyle almost cost him everything. It already took his best friend and almost ruined his marriage, but somehow, he's still drawn to that. It's childish and selfish in my eyes, but the sheer fact we're able to discuss the film in this way is a testament to how well-made "The Bikeriders" truly is. Even though it wasn't my cup of tea, I wholeheartedly agree that more people should see this.
@dr.deborahbarr438927 күн бұрын
@@BoomanReviews but Johnny never did burn it down. He told others too do that because he couldn’t. His fear of Benny being hurt controlled his rage and maybe saying what would Brando do. In that moment we knew Johnny was lost “to the dark side”. They all were, the looks on their faces as they watch that bar burn was brilliant filmmaking, and the wonder in his voice when he realizes the firemen and police were afraid of them is great acting. That was him realizing he was in over his head, especially after seeing all the drugs and such after what happened to cockroach. As for Benny, he didn’t smile until he met Kathy’s eyes through the window. We can have fond memories of the past, the good parts of it such as the freedom, the wind, the camaraderie, but acknowledge that we are better off and happy with how we are without it, that is what shows true growth, imo. I just discovered Benny is still alive now and still living in Florida. And yes I agree with how well made it is, and how brilliant the characters are.
@dr.deborahbarr438926 күн бұрын
@@BoomanReviewsit’s really fun when you really compare The Wild one made in the 50’s to Easy Rider made in the 70s that also allows not just a loss of innocence but the bastardization of the culture by Hollywood. The symbolism Nichols uses throughout is brilliant and really pop out on rewatches. That culture isn’t my thing either, but I can appreciate how those that once had a club where they belonged could mourn how that was swallowed up by the inevitable march of progress. Kind of like other much simpler things like the feeling you get when you can slam a phone down on someone 🤣

That's totally valid. It's hard to enjoy the game if it's making you sick. I know a girl who can't watch the Spiderverse movies because the framerate makes her nauseous. It's such a shame. The tank levels in COD 3 do the same thing to me.
BFBC2 compared to 1 was totally different story wise. Friggin the first story was full of funny quotes or watching haggard and glasses (forgot his name) play rock paper scissors in the background during important expositional dialogue was always funny. But the multiplayer was awesome.
The humor was unmatched in Bad Company 1. While playing 2, I expected to laugh more. There is some humor, for sure, but you're totally correct. The First game felt borderline like a comedy, and I miss that. I also miss this game's multiplayer. RIP. Also, thank you for taking the time to comment. That is very nice of you.
Haha you got the dentist achievement. 🏆 👍
Yooo nice review. This is one of my favorite games of all time. I remember the summer before I got it! We played it for years! Just subbed wish you the best on your channel. I have some gameplay of bfbc 2 on my channel. Keep up the good work.
Some of my favorite comments are when people say my video brought them back to a nostalgic time. Thank you so much for commenting, and I'm jealous you have been able to play this game in multiplayer for years. I got to it so late, but I loved every second of it. Such a great game.
Also your BF footage goes hard. Clean up the enemy team like you're getting paid for it.
@@BoomanReviews I played from 2010 till like 2014.the Vietnam dlc was crazy man. I hope you get to experience it one day some how. Nothing is like it I'm telling you! Bad company 2 just had that punch.
@@Relentless_Venture I can only hope. It still bothers me I missed out on that DLC. Looking at gameplay I'd say it looks like a blast.
Thanks for taking me on this nostalgia ride. This was the first fps multiplayer game that scratched that itch for me. I believed bad company 3 was just an announcement way for years...😢
Thanks for taking the time to comment
oh congrats, ended up in my feed. good video.
Video on point as always. Loved that game when i was younger!
I appreciate you!!
I found your chamnel through this nice little video on a game ive never played. Great work. Taking a look at your channel, and i find it cool how you talk about games as well as movies, reminds me of civvie 11. Nice work! Ill subscribe Good lil video, talks about the story and play of a neat lil game, what more is there to ask for?
I loooved the first game but the shift in tone and gameplay in the sequels makes me hesitant to try them out. I just want more of what the first game offered
I totally hear what you're saying. It's culture shock, but I'd still recommend trying the second and third games. More elements were carried over from the first game than you might think. If you want more content for the first game, you can download the open goal mod launcher for Jak and Daxter. There is a ton of fan-made content on there.
This is perfect timing because I’ve been replaying it recently!
It holds up, right? I had a blast playing it again.
you're such an underrated channel bro! Love your content :)
That is really cool of you to say. I should have more videos coming. I recently did the best job I could remastering my old Video Game reviews. From now until the end of the year, I should have a new video every Thursday. Thank you again for watching my stuff. It means a lot.
@@BoomanReviewsloved the battlefield 1943 review too, keep it up!
I don't usually watch the recommended videos I get but I clicked on this one and I'm glad I did! Great video 😊
I appreciate that you did!! Thank you for taking the time to watch. It means a lot to me.
The Jak and Daxter games, and the PS2 Ratchet and Clank games are my safe space too.
Also the Sly games. I just sit with the PS2 big 3 and forget about my problems. Thank you for commenting
@BoomanReviews I only ever had a demo disc of one of the Sly games, might try and find some copies.
@@_Xerota_ I highly recommend them. The rumor is they are finally coming to the PlayStation digital store as well, so they may become easier to play in the near future.
Nice to see my recommendation still pops out gems every now and again. Keep up the good work brother
I popped up in the recommends? That's really cool. Thank you for stopping by.
Good Voice over, good editing and straight to the point. Easy sub bro
I appreciate that!! Made my day.
I loved this game
Good af video!
