Do any of you see the issue with wokeism affecting actual games of mtg? I observe that people got ever more sensitive to in-game mechanics and censor which cards/effects you are allowed to play. They say it‘s „unfun“, aka being offended in other context. If want to habe a shot with a Boros Aggro commander, I need to run mass land destruction, it‘s effective, legal and was accepted and normal in the 2000s. If I ever complained about being overpowered by Combo and ask them to dial it down, people would laugh at me. The usual answer was to go back in your room, tinkering for hours, playtesting. Isn‘t this considered normal? Taking responsibility for yourself, adapting your decks constantly? Today the woke limits freedom of expression (yes, a commander deck can very much be a way to express, instead of netdecking). These issues (censorship in deckbuilding and blaming other players instead of improving your decks to combat the meta) seem to be more significant to me than anything gender-related. I consider myself a feminine man myself (being cis, but more because I‘m born this way, I do not get „masculinity“ as a concept), I’m much more worried about the censoring authoritarian communism that wokeness is.

I am a mostly f2p player. I only ever get the mastery pass because if youre good at the game its free tendies. Gold packs gems and wildcards galore, its literally all you ever need. I run into issues about as often as i do in paper. Sometimes I just hit land/spell clumps or im a turn too late on drawing what I need. It happens. Sometimes i go on win streaks, sometimes i go on losing streaks. Sometimes i draw gas and my opponent draws ass, and vice versa. I really only see these kinds of videos from people that lose a lot or get upset when their pet decks get stomped or think meta decks in ranked are "too sweaty". Its a card game. You will be fucked by chance and variance. It is inevitable. If you want a game with perfect information and no variance, try chess. These arena conspiracy theories are just so tinfoil hat, and if you arent having fun dont want to play then just dont play.

Oh look once the evidence met those standards and aligned with our intuitions and initial analysis of anecdotes therefor we now know that anecdotes and jumping to conclusions is definitely the way forward, take that skeptics! Skeptics are just mean bullies and we can simultaneously be proud of a million game data set and proud that people knew this was wrong after only the anecdotes of only 100 games. Colossification is already a card. Old. There are so many throwback cards and basically repurposing. Hope you like collecting magic cuz they're going to bankrupt everything before it's done.

You completely misunderstood the Stormsplitter card. It is absolutely busted in the right list, as each copy also copies itself. For example: 1 spell = 2 otters 2 spells = 4 otters 3 spells = 8 otters 4 spells = 16 otters Add in Bria or an anthem or two (never mind goblin Bombardment/Impact Tremors) and the opponent is very dead by 3 spells, as all the copies have haste. Also, we are getting a ton of great lizards that are also outlaws. Rakdos outlaw lizards is going to be a real problem: 1 drops: Hired Claw + Iridescent Vinelasher 2 drops: Gev + Valley Rotcaller 3 drops: Jasper Flint + Thought-Stalker Warlock + Hearthborn Battler

11:25, so you can fill the graveyard up more, since if a spell is cast form ANYWERE even your hand it gets exiled... as in NOT the graveyard so can't then use its ability to cast it

Well if you can cast a lot of instants or Sorceries, it IS exponential growth on Stormbreaker. 2,4,8,16, etc. So you could get a lot of stuff done with that, plus whatever the cheap spells you're casting do. Portent of Calamity DOES need you to hit 4 different types, otherwise you won't exile 4 cards. Casting it for X = 4 will only get a free spell if you set your top 4 up ahead of time. You would sacrifice Festival of Embers because you put a bunch of spells you cast from the Graveyard on the stack, and you don't want them to get exiled. So you sac the festival instead (which will exile it).

The sac ability on Festival of Embers means you can get your graveyard loaded up with spells, play Festival, recast those spells, and then sac it so you're not exiling every single card you play from then on.

This is just the top of the iceberg, the actual crime is what they do in events and drafts, if you go on a 6 or 7 win run, the next event you're guaranteed to go second every match on top of screw/flood.

You seemed to have missed 1 thing. Occasionally, when you join a match, Arena will glitch and match you against someone in the wrong format. I've been matched against historic decks when playing standard. I've been matched against standard decks when playing timeless.
