Hey Grandmorning Grandpa how me favorite Grandpa forgot the more the Engine got closer to me I was thinking this was sure an EX SP & it was Sir it was SP 296 this Engine was only in a it's first or second year of service & it was absorbed into the UP & was patched then UP painted her but left her signature Ditch lights she still has that coolness under all the yellow she's still a SP Engine Grandpa hope your doing good take care hope to visit with ya more..
I didn't think that UP did flashing ditchlights. Nice catch Allan.
Great video. I subscribed to your channel as well!
12:55 you're welcome
Nice catch Allan.

Cool allan maybe you and I can try to meet up sometime
Nice catch Allan.
Very nicely detailed cabooses Alan.
Many thanks Grandpa! how ya been you doing ok
@@rdanscale3416 doing good I like Texas.
I did pick up three, for a B&B scene overlooking the track. Not happy with the lighting. I would have preferred them powered via the rails. So I will be hard-wiring them since they will not be rolling anywhere.
Ya he flying for sure straight to notch 8 great capture 😎🚂🫵
Nice catch thanks for sharing the video. Have a great day and enjoy those trains
Awesome video brother 👍
Great capture nice share enjoy your day
Amazing detail for N scale. Very nice review.
Great ops session thanks for sharing the video 😎🚂
Hey Nitro Sorry my reply was late i forgot about the Time change & with my mom's passing which was back in June 23 even though time has passed that many months Dad still feels as it was yester its been tough on him its not been easy on me either but where trying.. On the Circuit Breaker that you own' it would work ok for your parking Tracks but I'd surely isolate the Turntable with a Dedicated Auto Reverser DCC Specialties sells there Auto Reverser for $74.00 this Reverser includes in its board a Circuit Breaker, Auto Reverser, & Silinoid motors for Turnout switch motors which is noble if you need the motors for turnout but if your just needing the Auto Reverser then I'd go with the NCE from Tony's Trains or Spring Creek has them plus Spring Creek has a Lay-a-Way programs ask them what they currently offer if they still do & they ask you how you found there store tell them that Allen RDA N Scale sent ya but NCE'S AR10 is a Solid State Reverser with fully built in Circuit Breaker which will provide protection to the Turntable it's self your DCC Specialties Circuit Breaker can then provide protection to your extension Tracks but in doing this the tracks going into the Turntable will need to isolated this will allow the engine to Run & then to traverse onto the parking tracks with no shorts but if you see a short i would make sure all tracks have The black Unijoiners i was seeing a short when i had powered unijoiners installed & power was flowing into the Turntable from my yard tracks but removing these & replacing them with black unpowered fixed the short i believe Nitro since the Turntable is fully isolated but is powered through the Auto Reverser it safely switches the flow & the Engine can set idling on the table them move to parking tracks without harming the Engine or systen... On my Turntable going out of my Power block the 18 Gauge bell wire i ran the Wire to AR10 hooked it to the Track Side the Special Kato Green DC Wire the Green connector goes to the Turntable Controller but the black connector which would originally click to a DC controller i snipped put 2 ferrules on it & hook to the Loop side of the AR10 that give you Sir full DCC command of the Turntable you can switch the Lever up or Down center shuts off the table which is nice if you have a motor that just possibly gets out of control on the parking tracks if its going fast towards the table centering the lever will stop the Engine.. But I'd go with the AR10 i think NCE has a good thing with it!
Thanks for the info bud. Hang in there with your Dad. It is tough man 🙏👍
Oh.... So after watching both vids several times, I see that you ran the turntable power straight from the NCE power cab and NOT from the EB1 circuit breaker. Now I understand how the EB1 does not break the circuit when the loco crosses to the other tracks and causes a short for the reverser to sense it and reverse the power. LOL. Have I got it now?? LOL. Will I be able to keep all my parking tracks hooked to my main PSXX1 track circuit breaker?
Nitro here. You gave me a ton of great info on my video. Thought i would come here and ask the same questions on your turntable videos. Your turntable is working great with your reverser and circuit breaker setup! Good stuff! I have a DCC Specialties PSXX1 circuit breaker which appears to be awesome cause it gets used frequently 😅. I bet NCE told you to hook the AR10 up to a direct bus line from your power block so there would be the least amount of "noise", for the lack of a better term, so the AR10 would "reverse" before the EB1 would "break the circuit"?? Meaning no extra track between the two devices 🤷♂️. That would make sense to me. I wonder if this same method would work well with my PSXX1? I bought this instead of the EB1 due to it being very programmable in several parameters. Although I use it stock due to having no booster on my layout yet. It came set up for normal starter DCC system power (1 to 2 amps) I believe. You can tell I'm just wondering how in the world does the reverser do its thing before the circuit breaker senses a short. I think this PSXX1 is very fast so I might have to program delay in it if it trips before the AR10 reverses. I hope I'm explaining that correctly 😂. Thanks for all the information 🙂.
You answered every question I had. The last comment at the end of this answered my last question, LOL. Great stuff. And your wiring is very neat! I haven't even gotten back under my layout to start tidying up things yet, hahaha.
can they go any faster?
We could go a bit faster but Yard restrictions that comes off my yard Main Track & enters the Turntable & then the Engine shop keeps the Engines slow & with short tracks you half to feather the throttle but we can up there speeds once they hit the Main I have many operating Video's please check them out & we'll be adding more Video's but we wanted to share how great this Turntable works & again thanks for Watching... Allen D
the kato N scale turntable the most useless overprices peace of crap .. kato morons lets make a nice steam engines of 844 lets make a turntable that 844 can fit on
I'll go one further a Turntable that the Big Boy can Turn on like the real one outside the Cheyenne shops but a good share the turntables that we're once going have been removed there is one Turntable the Real deal that still turns the Diesels & that is the Table at Newton Kansas they still use it today, from the Depot its just across the street if your at the main street crossing you can see just adjacent of the Bnsf Fuel pumps.. But I as well would like to see Kato make a Turntable for the Big N scale steamers..I'll add for me what comes in the Box the price I'll live with it..
@@rdanscale3416 i have researched and compiled a database over the past 25 years, the Cheyenne turntable was never going to be removed since they needed it for the 3984 and 844
Totally awesome RDA cool capture 😎👍🏻 Have a great day and enjoy
I just started using the Tam Valley frog juicers and they run flawlessly. Apparently you can use them for reverse loops as well but I have not tried it out yet. They don't have a circuit breaker but they do have short protection and cut power before my command station trips. (A short doesn't take the whole layout down.)
Congrats brother 👍
Thank you so much 😀
When I was working as a delivery driver, I carried a 4 or 5 inch crescent wrench in my lunch bag. A couple times , air hose hoses busted on me and I was able to replace them.
Beginning in October 2023 I put together a 4'x7' N Scale layout using Kato track including superelevated curves on the double track mainline. I have 3 Broadway Limited locos, an ES44, NW2, and a Pacific. They run like a charm. I bought a Kato Amtrak P42 and it derails coming out of the superelevated curve transition track every time. So do my Kato Amtrak passenger cars. No other freight car or engine has EVER derailed. I wonder if the center pin or design of the Kato trucks is not providing enough swing and sideways yaw or perhaps the wheel/axle spacing is not correct. I returned the P42 to Kato for service but have not received it back since January 4th!
Nice railfaning brother 👍
I bought the Atlas turntable. It sounds like a lawnmower grinding up rocks when it spins any faster than 1 Mph. Locomotives don't lose power when traveling across, but they sometimes lose power when indexing, causing some locomotives to reset. Otherwise I guess it's ok for the price.
Excellent share cool intermodal train let it rip 🚂😎🫵
I am also in Wichita what store did you get it from?
From Kansas Sampler on Rock Road that store is like walking into a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market if they don't have what your looking for they probably can order it for ya In the back of the store they have inventory from the Closing of the Rally House 🏠 in Arizona so its loaded its definitely on my radar for another visits..
No, ATSF never had flashing ditch lights. I'm sure it can be deactivated.
Providence and Woostah. That's how us Yanks pronounce Worcester: Woostah. LOL. Nice content.
