    Glad I found this. I havexax21 RMAX2 and have the same windshield. One thing I don't understand is cutting the arm which seems to make it shorter the way you explain it, correct?

    Thanks for the video Chris - however I have some questions: I have a 6 gang niLight switch gang - I m not positive on how to hook it up along with the relays?? Do I need 6 relays ? Thanks Mouse

  • @venomchris5818
    @venomchris5818Ай бұрын

    If your accessories draw less than 10 amps each you don't need any relays. Those rocker switches have a 20 Amp max and a 10 Amp continuous rating. If the accessory will draw more than 10 amps then it would need a relay.

The Secret is throttle Control, in order not to ROMP the RIG, Picking the best line, Trust the Yamaha Engineers work. Went about as close to Vertical UP And Down over 30 feet as can Imagine. No Tire Slip at all. Stock Tires reduced pressure by 4 LBs per tire. Went up all obstacles like VELCROW Both Wet and Dry Rock What a Machine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    geez almost no one says what amp Fuse to TOGGLE relay ... 5, 10, or 15 amp ??? to safely trigger relay with out burning up relay coil.

  • @venomchris5818
    @venomchris5818Ай бұрын

    Generally most accessory leads in a car or SXS / ATV are 15 amps. Some can be 10. The relay coil will only pull enough current to work. The only time it would pull more is if it shorted in some way. That would blow the fuse. The average 12 volt relay only pulls .16 Amps to trigger the coil. You could put a 3 amp fuse on the power input wire to the coil if you wanted to be very cautious. But I have not seen anyone do that.

    I have 2 CCA main power wires in my vehicles and they're working just fine. I think it's more as you said, this was a side by side, so open to the weather. Also, I liquid electrical taped every exposed bit on both ends and then brushed on dielectric grease after tightening the connections. I also actually maintain my vehicles and keep my battery posts clean, so that doesn't hurt either, lol. As a mechanic for over 20 years, I've seen hundreds of 100% copper OEM battery cables turn to dust around the terminals, sometimes for 6 inches up the insulation, just like that. Under hood installation, especially on a battery terminal, is basically worst case scenario for an electrical connection, regardless of composition.

    So are the actual pos/neg from the accessories going to the fuse box or it it just for the rocker switch? Or is it both. I just had 2 relays crap out on me and idk why.

    Not familiar with that exact product “Cab-o-sil” but quite often the fillers used for epoxy and fiberglass work are microscopic hollow glass spheres. They are very lightweight and chemically inert to any of the solvent in whatever material you put them in. They are particularly used for epoxy glue ups because they help maintain a minimum gap so that when you clamp the parts together you don’t squeeze *all* of the epoxy out. They are also used to lighten the overall density of resins in composite work

    Pay good attention to what Chris has learned and thankfully shared with the KZread crowd. Why? Because Chris offered this unit up for sale (In order to build his next version), and I purchased this unit. Everything Chris learned he has shared. This unit is exactly what he has shown you. I took his unit, did a couple fiddly things to it, and started vapor-blasting the crap out of stuff. The unit is.... Well.... Pretty damned good! I don't have time to do a three-year development phase. I also don't have the budget to buy a pro unit. But I am lazy/smart enough to use what Chris learned to my advantage. This is a great tutorial.

    I ended up replacing that one with the following one. You will need to get short arms and blades. They are much easier to find than for the first one. www.ebay.com/itm/176272817166?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D262139%26meid%3D1b1fd6de94cc485182155c6f6303ed34%26pid%3D101875%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D196083536722%26itm%3D176272817166%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D4429486%26algv%3DSimplAMLv11WebTrimmedV3MskuWithLambda85KnnRecallV1V2V4ItemNrtInQueryAndCassiniVisualRankerAndBertRecallWithVMEV3CPCAutoWithCassiniEmbRecallManual&_trksid=p4429486.c101875.m1851&itmprp=cksum%3A1762728171661b1fd6de94cc485182155c6f6303ed34%7Cenc%3AAQAJAAABcLSVkHmTL63bebovD9RfpraPWbY9f4anjbziTIaEIOVXg2DWhVLks3Lfqff9vxxfjIh4XEXusIehlT2iEH8%252BCxXNySMxlDIQJ3g86%252Bx3AAIAq9gznqdGSR72ksP41kjzPN1reUbVsJuld0S4i4qXlQfTmkMeIJTCXTM8mLpr7ju2fMvruDu87ZX%252B4bShOvD%252B4gfH5DZGkQnyuGV1ajgqDvm80%252Fnk0WjnNUxRpGGkhXcAHfvlZDgbnsZ1RJPIA4mIE%252BRM%252Bd2BDV7JGCL7WcsgOwCst9jOXDEJbmzbp7nEb7d%252FS6kgSNa7UHS1JG5PavItPM7ZJPH3x2GZt8COPqJQ4FQ0GXXAc1U2qrpQsHr09LrwSyHkKc3P55VCGQURE2LDWxz%252BrtELEZOr2nbR56%252BE6YAiu6Vzl7vBI369lEty0Z4rXv1xB6nnyvpGpe1oAsTUnLw2KCVNG4uNgM5QEsJVQqbaptil%252FDpNQ%252FHmQmYE7spt%7Campid%3APL_CLK%7Cclp%3A4429486&itmmeta=01HS6KNP821YCXVN4KXDN2A2ZX
