Thank you for this thorough review; although I have a few translations, I didn't want the NLT until I watched a video on the Inspire Prayer bible, which is another one that I want. I always leaned towards the KJV because of the Mothers of the church back in the 80's (lawd, they would check you if you used anything outside of the KJV, lol). I love bibles with cross referencing as well as a bit of commentary so give the student an idea of various ideologies of thought to ponder. I definitely want the Inspire Prayer Bible, to have it as my actual prayer bible. I have a great study bible (Jeremiah Study Bible). I did find out that both the NLT, CSB, and the ESV left out Matthew 17:21 (fasting and prayer) so, I have other translations to combat what was removed from those translations during my study time. Thanks again for the review.

I just got the Chronological Life Application Bible (second ed) and love it! I would like to recommend the Hebrew and Greek Key Word Study Bible, the Archaeological Study Bible, The Thompson Chain Reference Bible, the Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible and the Holy Land Illustrated Study Bible.

I bought my first Life Application Bible in 1995. It is precious because of all my notes, and especially because in the back on the blank pages I wrote down all of my prayers from 1995 - 2018. All my fears and tears, especially as I went through some significant and unexpected health challenges as a young woman during the late 1990s. A few years ago, I purchased the large print (no longer do I have a young woman's eyes! lol) version in the NLT translation. I love it, but that first Bible is my beloved one.

I relate so much to having too many options! I started only having 2 pens and 3 highlighters that I have in my Bible bag, the rest are put away in a box in my room. It can still be exciting to get new things, but I can slow down my consumption.

To keep the rest of the words on your Inspire Prayer bible from further fading, Avery makes self-adhesive laminating sheets that you can use to cover the entire front and back, also, use the laminating sheets to cut them for your tabs to keep them longer

I totally feel the same way you do about Bible plans I find myself starting one and never able to truly complete it. I wanted to read the Bible in 90 days but it was too much for me. I bought the KJV Chronological Life Application Study Bible and I’ll be using this to read through for 2025.
