It is interesting the artist writes, "My Pup" at 1:39:00. Might this be the congenial nickname she assigned to this old horse barn in view. I imagine it may have been located on her father's back 40 acres at their homestead, where she escaped to discover some surcease, halt or phaseout period away from the rush of life's daily activity and demands.

I enjoyed watching her ability to bring it all together. Absolutely wonderful. Bravo! It is interesting how Lyssa uses watercolor initially, perhaps to intimate the subject of the painting, then she paints the background around where the figure will be positioned. Perhaps the watercolor provides an effective base for the paint that will be applied. As the painting progresses, the individual figure becomes apparent. I thought that was intriguing how she developed this, rather than incipiently sketching the young woman. In addition, her blouse relatively melds into the dark background, and the person's jeans moderately blend into the white lower background. A high contrast of colors is presented between the upper scape and the lower scape. The red hairpiece becomes accented by the assistance of the red pigment that is associated with the wall and her blouse. Lovely colors and highlights driven by light and dark. With the light emanating from the window against her back, she discovers a choice of books to her right and currently has grown particularly engrossed in one.

This video has generally three phases of sounds throughout the three-hour video which both my dog and I enjoy. We have listened to it countless of times. There is the initial (1) pencil sketching, the (2) coloration of the cabin using different coloration instruments, including creating the deeper highlights of the tree and its branches, and then the (3) coloring of the overall picture. All these sounds serve as genuine stress-reducers. The video immediately and surprisingly calms my active Aussie (dog) into a restful, reclining mode. Thank you so much for this.

So as I’m watching the beginning of this video I’m thinking to myself “what is going on?” It starts out with just a bunch of randomness and turns into something beautiful. This reminds me of my life.. minus the beautiful part. Haven’t gotten to that yet.. right now it’s just a bunch of blobs of brown paint thrown on a paper.

I like the “Oh Well” on the “failed” sketch page even though it does look interesting to a know nothing such as me. I hated that you covered it. It was like seeing someone throw out a plant that is only half dead😢
