  window tint is perfectly legal in the us, you just can't go under a certain % in the front windows and windshield

  Always depends on the size of the rock as well as the speed you are travelling at. But it will protect your car from the majority of rock chips. PPF also has self healing properties so it'll fix itself right up in the sun or with some hot water
