Wow this gave me chills
I’ve been getting overwhelmed about all the things that I want to get done before my second baby arrives in December (finish weaning my 2yo, potty train him, finish some house projects, get the baby’s room ready). Meanwhile I’m having trouble just staying on top of the daily/weekly stuff (dishes, laundry, meal planning, groceries). It’s easy to miss the little victories when some small part of my plan is completed and think, “There’s still so much more to do!” Rather than praising the Lord that something actually got done.

I just listened to this in poscast form and had to come comment. As Beth was explaining her confirmation name I was agree with her initial thoughts on her choice. I choose Agnes because I was 12 years old and Agnes was the patron of young girls and I was a young girl and well there you go. I’ve really had no pull towards in the many years since but you both mentioned digging a little deeper and it hit me she’s the patron and young girls and I have a daughter who has moderate autism and she’s more then likely going to be a young girl in her mind for the rest of her life and I’ve cried because look at God showing you things so long ago and you connecting them just as your daughter is about to become 12 herself. St Agnes pray for us. Ps so many Saint have show themselves in their love and attention to my daughter it’s really amazing. I’ve meet and grown with Sts MariaGoretti Bernadette and Mother Cabrini throught my daughter, but those stories are maybe for another comment.

I have recently started learning more about the church although I was baptized in the church at 5. My fave saints as of currently are Mary Magdalene and St Alphonus Liguori but I decided to look into what saint as a feast day on my baptismal date thanks to you ladies! It's St Margaret of Cortona who just so happens to be a patron saint of weight loss, something I have been working on recently! Thank you so much for this advice otherwise I would've never known to look for her!

Saint Josephine bahkita i learned about on this channel and then i read a book about her life called st bahkita from African slave to servant of the good master. So touching she really endured so much but she loved the Lord. She didn’t harbor hatred towards her abusers either.
