Roping for the working guy. That's my motto. We all can't rope 50 per day because we have jobs and this is a hobby. I've learned from the best ropers in the world and just want to share that knowledge with anyone who's willing to listen!

This makes me feel so much better! Unfortunately I don’t have me a horse or the land needed but I have been roping for fun since high school. I can head and heel the dummy but I was watching actual team ropings and I always noticed the heeler releases their hand flat. So I had been trying to catch like I saw on a live steer but very little luck. So, to make a long story short…YES!!!

Hi Dru. Not even sure you still see comments. And I know these vids are some years old, but I’ve learned so much. I’m 59, always wanted to learn. You helped me pick out my rope, my dummy, now learning. Thank you so so much. Hoping you make some new ones. T. L.

Hey Dru. Thank you so much for all your help. Because of you, I bought my first rope from your rope review. And I just bought a roping dummy. But I have a really dumb question, please don’t laugh. Why does everyone put those “head/horn wraps” on a dummy…….? Does the rope wear down the dummy, or wear out the rope faster. Thanks for any help.
