I love George. He named the band because of Ray, but he WAS Not Dr. Hook!

Anyone who loves City Boy knows that Lol wrote some of the greatest songs in history, Sunset Boulevard, Haymaking Time, The Violin, Millionaire, Young Men Gone West, Dinner at the Ritz, .... they truly had no peers.

Ray Sawyer was a very talented individual and had a very distinctive voice. He'll be missed. Luckily, we can still enjoy his performances.

Dennis was the voice of Dr. Hook in my opinion and he was the lead voice in the majority of their hit songs

David was a fantastic singer with an oustanding voice and such a lot of charisma. I will love him all my life. BtW: You forgot to mention, that his so-called wife abandoned him, and that he was found by his brother-in-law, lying dead on the floor in his appartment. I think, he had lost the will to live at that time. RIP David. God bless you.

Heep was easily the best band of the 1970's.

Heep was far and away the BEST BAND of the 1970's. They had more range and scope than all the other "rock bands" put together.

A cautionary tale. So often a life lived just focused on instant gratification and pleasure with no obedience to a higher power ends like this. We are not meant to be our own gods or “kings” how ironic that was his nickname. There is only one king that should be leading your life. 🙏

She should have stayed with the group who wrote the songs that made them famous. She had a good voice, but at the end of the day, she was a vocalist, not an instrumentalist or songwriter.

His girlfriend Tawny actually became just as famous as Robbin. She's the one dancing on the hood of the Jaguar in a very famous Whitesnake video (for those who did not know she moved on from him to front man David Coverdale who was even more successful at the time).

I first heard Rafferty when he was with the Humblebums. I remember Billy Connolly saying something like "I´m humble and he´s..." then pointing to Gerry. He was a typical product of his Paisley background but he had huge talent, just like another great Scots artist Rabbie Burns.

I was perhaps one of the youngest Easybeats fanatics. I used to spend any available money I had playing Sad Lonely and Blue on the local juke box. I thought more of the Easies than even the Beatles. Such a great band. I would have killed to have been able to see them play live. Steve Marriott and Stevie Wright on Good Times is such an unbelievably terrific combination. Both gone. And Georgie gone too. Snowie, Harry and Dick you can be rightly proud of what you achieved. Thanks guys. What a great band!

I agree, Stevie was such a charismatic person and a fantastic musician and entertainer. I miss him and think of him often 🥰 There is a video on youtube called 'Stevie Wright Live at the Bridgeway Hotel' 1987 which is worth a watch. The blonde Cheetah sister sings as one of his backups too! His energy is amazing! Thanks for your comment and for watching its very much appreciated 😁👍
