I like the simple setting, excellent harmonies and a song with a story. Great job.

Funny how modern players are more focused on timing, whereas players from a couple of decades ago would be more focused on feel.

Great tune and very fun! I know this is confusing, But I believe this should be called Buffalo Girls rather than Buffalo Gals. Check out Bruce Molsky playing this tune.

I LOVE THIS TUNE!!! I play it on my fiddle!! John Mailander.... I did not recognize you!! Listened to this, & then looked at the list of musicians!!! JOHN MAILANDER!!! Used to see you here at the San Diego Bluegrass jams a gazillion yrs ago!! You were fantastic then... and now... well, WOW!!! Is it ok if I listen to this over & over & 3/4 speed so I can get my fiddle to play your version, John? Or... you could send me sheet music for your version!! 🥰

Favourite tune! We used to play it in our weekly Oldtime jam in Stockholm with Rachel Eddy as our steady ground. I played bass. It ended 2015.

Heard Evie play this at Augusta Heritage Old Time week, and it brought tears to my eyes. This shows how a deceptively simple song, played and sung beautifully, rises to art. Many many thanks.
