Bowser attacks more often if: - Your pollution levels are dangerously high. - You bulldoze too many hospitals (the game manual warns you that demolishing hospitals increases the odds a disaster will occur). - You play on the higher difficulty settings (although he can still attack even on Easy). Better think twice before demolishing that hospital; It could set Bowser off. And you know how ticked he can get; He probably relies on those hospitals a lot to get patched up after his encounters with Mario.

You included Jumpin' Jackson, Esprit, No Second Prize, Oids, Vroom & Spherical. Those (along with Zany Golf, Sundog & Wizball, not on your list) define my time with the Atari ST. Of course Dungeon Master was in there too, but NOBODY missed that one, so I didn't expect to see it. What I did not expect to see was Mousetrap!!! That one was included as part of a software bundle when I bought my ST, and I've never seen it mentioned anywhere. Great little nothing of a budget title that I played to death. Thank you for the trip down memory lane, I've played every single one of them (except Stone Age...that one's unfamiliar).

A great computer that came out at least 4 or 5 years too late. Unfortunately, both Atari and Commodore did not understand the need to evolve their machines, considering them perfect. The Falcon could do much more than that, I installed Magic, the multitasking operating system on it and it managed to let me play Legend of Valor in a window!

As a complete newbie, how does one actually render? These settings are fantastic but does one just press F9 or F10 and it renders but using Octane and saving to disc? What I would really like to see is a very simple animation creation right through to playing back the completed video file.

Even though the Game is set in the *Renaissance Era* - I still pretend I'm a *Feudal Monarch (Non-Absolute),* even though feudalism (for the game) ended 50 years ago in *1453.* 🤩 In fact, no one knows when the Medieval Period ended 😆🏰

Now that, is one hell of a list. Great stuff here. I always wish M.U.L.E. Made these lists. The title screen has possibly the catchiest music of the 64.

Cannon Fodder and Alien Blast look intiguing to me, but as for the rest.. I cannot say this for sure, as I never had a Falcon, but I feel like I played variations of some of these games on my 800XL a/o on the Mega ST2. Also, some of the games didn't necessarilly require this platform as such - Asteroidia, Double Bobble, Impulse, BeGEMeD, Shanghai, Slippery Sam etc.. And some games just look terrible - Ultimate Arena and Downfall come to my mind here. From what I have read and heard, the Falcon was a fairly good platform with lots of potential, despite being bottlenecked by its data bus limited to 16-bit width only, while the Motorola 68030 CPU was a 32-bit device. I'd say it was designed like that due to cost consdierations. In the end however, it came down to the lack of really good SW (useful apps, good games), that could show the true power of the Falcon. Just watch some newer "fan-made" games a/o demos and you get the idea 🙂

I am looking for 30 years for a game that I played as a kid, maybe on an Atari. Xenon is very close to it, but it’s not exactly what I am looking for. #24 Goldrunner is also very similar. But I remember the ship to be dark blue and more like in xenon. But the ship had more uprades than xenon I believe. One day I might find you.

I like Super Cycle, very smooth in spite of beeing an early game for the Atari ST. Not too demanding for the machine but good and playable to me !!! A lot of racing games were too hard to make fot the ST, and not playable because of it.

Falcon was doomed from the start for several reasons. I'll just talk about one. In the early 90s, games size were getting bigger and bigger, sometimes needing more than 4 discs. It was really a chore to use when you had just one disc drive. Obviously the answer was to get a hard drive but they were very expensive. ST/amiga sold very well when they were around 500/600 dollars (or 1000 DM, 400 pounds). If you had to buy the falcon (or the amiga 1200)+ a harddrive+ maybe a monitor, why not spend a little more and buy the most promising, versatile and upgradable computer, the PC?
