RECIPE: Ingredients: 2 medium English cucumbers 12 oz. bottle seasoned rice vinegar (try Kikkoman, Marukan, or Nakano) Toasted sesame seeds Method: Chop off ends of cucumbers and peel alternating lengthwise strips from the rind. Thinly slice the cucumbers in medallions and place in a mixing bowl. Pour ½ cup of seasoned rice vinegar over the cucumbers and mix thoroughly. Cover bowl, refrigerate, and let marinate for 45 minutes. Pour off excess water. Add ⅓ cup rice vinegar back to cucumbers and mix. Sprinkle 1 tsp of toasted sesame seeds over the cucumbers, crushing them between your fingers to release their oil. Mix. Optional: Add 1 tsp of chili flakes to add a kick of heat. Refrigerate and keep up to 7 days.

Avoid Sensory Overload: Constant stimulation to the senses and the mind will over time cause fatigue. It is also vitally important that we make conscious and mindful choices what we put into our minds and hearts. We should be introspective and ask ourselves, is this good for me spiritually? I always experience just being nature for a few hours is very effective. And spend time away from devices.

Informative video. To reduce overthinking and stress be careful what you feed your mind. Avoid comparing yourself with others, reduce watching negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 10-15 minutes or more. You can sit or lay down--eyes closed--No deep breathing. Don’t fight your thoughts. Never meditate with expectations. Make it a lifetime habit to observe your breath day and night before sleep, at work, when reading, when travelling, etc with eyes open or closed. Best wishes--Counsellor.
