Three and a half years ago, we make a rash decision while on holiday in Salou, to move to Spain. I'd always wanted to teach English abroad. I did a TEFL course in Leeds when I was 21 years old & got offered a teaching position is Seoul, South Korea, however my dad was really ill & didn't want me to go so I opted to do some voluntary charity work & take humanitarian aid to Belarus instead.
A few years later my dad died & my mum got ill. I was in a good job & plodded along just getting by but secretly looking & dreaming about teaching jobs in faraway lands!
Fast forward to October 2018 where Nick asked me (jokingly) if I wanted to move to Spain. By January 2019 we had one way tickets to Malaga. I'd secured myself on an English teaching course in Malaga & we were ready to start our new lives (with a then 9 month old & a 2 year old) in Spain.
It hasn't been easy. There's been lots of tears as well as laughter but we don't regret it one bit.

looks lovely too bad there's often a foul smell coming from the campo. But that's where our food comes from so it's ok.

Jo you won't get rid of wet hair in the heat but what i do is get 2 pair of socks , wet them through then put them in the freezer for half hour. Get 1 pair out at a time to rely , put 1 sock round back of ya kneck & the other sock under your boobs.. Works a treat my gal. I'll get saving & move out there near you... What's up wi these locals.? You're the gal in the UK.. Join some groups you'll find your people.. It can be isolating being a Mum.. Get a steel pan band together. Everyone needs that vibe in their lives. Love & miss you JoJo.xx
