    Woohoo finally some S10 Blazer content lol . I have a 94 GMC Jimmy 4×4 4-door with the lovely spider 4.3 yay me , i got it running and driven after at least about total of 6 years and went through everything on it besides a distributor and o2 sensor and a fuel pump thats only 3 things left. I drove it 300 miles home after a good hard fight with it cause it still isn't Running Right . If i could find a good part's vehicle with the TBI style to swap the intake would be so much better and less headaches but none around .

    @KnuckleHeadGarage27 I have played for many hours under the hood to get this one working as intended! The spider (When working correctly) does have some decent power. I really enjoy getting this back out again. Although now with the shift solenoid I think I need some kinda slapper bar set up. Haha, always going to be something!

    @@RobHoffmann20 yeah when it would Run Right man it would take off hard and push u in the seat like wow this thing got Some Torque to it , That vortec really screams and pulls hard . I believe it has a bad F Pump cause it only has about 48psi at idle but I was told it should be 60psi or so at idle but if u rev it the pressure shoots to 55+ but the blazer does this werid very odd thing to where it will run okay and but if it sits to idling then it will start running horribly like studdering and spuddering and poping in the intake and idle drops and sounds like it's trying to misfire at same time but if u rev it off idle then it's fine but soon as u let go then bam back to that again unless u don't let it sit and idle to long and it has to be up to temp before it does this . Some said o2 sensor and some said distributor but since it's the last 3 things I've literally not replaced yet I'm just going to do all 3 cause I've about went crazy I've done so much to this thing its unreal .

    A few thoughts, as I have done one too. 1. eliminate that your relay may be faulty, (fuel pumps will make a noise if they are working and u. can listen for it.) 2. remember your filter, do regular maintenance on it; you need to eliminate it as the problem, 3. if you use flexible fuel pipe anywhere in the system you need high pressure classed type flexible pipe, 2. use light oil around the top retaining ring, rarely is a special tool needed, but you must suppress any spark 3. never wear wool anywhere, soap or grease your hair and don't touch it when working, beware of external spark potential, pilot lights, etc. gas vapors have a 25+ explosive range, have a proper class fire extinguisher handy, make sure all doors open; some fresh air always, and put a wet cotton towel over the hole, to seal in vapors, remove the + cable from the battery and secure it, 0 voltage draw, deaden any other electronics, 4. replace with best quality components, clamps should be sweated on, have extra clamps, 5. any gas lost, including from vapors and what's in the old pump will be lost to the system giving the sender a false high reading, so replace about twice as much gas as you think is lost, about a cupful usually, 6 when you put it back make certain it is sealed, to be sure use 100% silicone as it adheres to an oily surface, this will keep engine light from a false reading. It is way easier to cut an access hole then to lower tank. Be sure to take the fuel rail gas pressure off before starting, even a bad pump will pressurize it and it will spray out when you open the system if you don't , there is a valve for this usually under the hood.

    Tuff torq calls for removing the overflow tube housing, I guess to allow air to more easily escape, it means removing the seat, platform and fuel tank etc. . I upgraded my 510 hour D160 with a k66y, and updated hubs,, wheels and tires. Things are tight. I ll try the overflow overfill method, but it seems like it might take as long as full disassembly. I now also a have a goal of getting air with the front wheels .....great job

  • @jkben7415
    @jkben74152 ай бұрын

    Excellent! Thank You! Your video helped me a lot. I have Husqvarna GT54LS with K66 Tuff torque 190 hrs. A plastic gas tank covers the top of the tranny. I was able to get to the gear side top plastic threaded fill hole plug with the left tire removed and reaching to unscrew it by hand. I drilled and cut to enlarge an existing hole in the back to insert the fill tube. I would have preferred to use full synthetic 5w50 but I had some mobile one 15w50 so I used it. I filled the gear side very slowly with a flex hose inserted from the back and moved the hubs back and forth to get air out. This went very smooth with no issues.... but like I said I was only doing the gear side to start with. I took it for a test ride and the difference was AMAZING. All the speed and torque was back. I have not yet changed the hydrostatic side. but I did make a small square access hole for it on the rear so I could get to the over flow jug. My point is...... I am surprised the result I got just doing the left Gear side. UPDATE: I got the hydro side done. It took a HECK of a LONG time filling through the overfill jug. and purging air. I will check and top off again after a few weeks of use. note: my husky k66 has a hydro side OIL FILTER located at the front side of the transaxle (per the deck side). Its a large flat plastic screw in plug. The machine is is no longer sluggish and moves like new.
