I've been to Portland about a 100 times. Beautiful place, I love that area.
I left there in 2016. Myrtle Beach. Still a tourist town, but the weather is awesome. 9 months of cold winter I cant deal with it. No Maine for me.
You're in the real estate business. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe some people might be watching this on a television? Maybe they're not on their computer and they can't go to the link that you put in the comment section. For Christ's sake, put the price on or don't put your videos on KZread!
Stay away
Good video I’m thinking of moving there I’m in vt property taxes seem higher here. I was told in NH it’s 7k per 1mil house value is that true. In vt it’s more. Atleast for me. lol. ???
yuhhhhh you already know portsmouth running it up as best small town (this town is genuinely awful and you’ll never be able to afford any homes unless you make at least 500k a year)
Just go away
Californians please don’t move to Missouri either!
I lived in rural NH for 5 years coming from New Jersey. I loved it. I'm hoping to move back if possible.
I always thought a Mainer was originally called a Maniac...
I have a little place in Conway, I am retiring g in 5 years and plan on retiring up there. Property is getting crazy even up there.
I really appreciate your transparency. I sold cars in the 90's with the same honest approach and it serves both the salesperson and customer well.
I am from Maine and it is no different than any other state that has tourism and Maine is more than southern Maine.
Stop ruining Maine. Go to NH. Its basically northern Mass already.
You are awful. Go away.
Also if you are coming from a place like MA or NY, and want NH to start doing things like passing taxes, regulations and gun control, please, please do not move to NH.
Don’t move here please
Re-location guide to southern Maine. Oh you wanted to live in NORTHERN Maine? You’re on your own.
I used to barter electrical work with a guy that owned a rental house there. We went there 3 summers in a row and we loved our time spent there. I didn’t care for the pier though because you can’t even really see the water from it.
Born and raised in Maine. Lived her my entire life. Raised my family here.Made my career here. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Why do people from other parts of the USA or other countries come here and complain because it isn't like where they came from? Never understood that.
There really is a lot of nice people up there . I was just up in Rangely Maine and just got back literally a week ago. And I did have nothing but great encounters with the mainers
Especially don't move to NH if you are a Massachusetts liberal... Please stay there and don't F our state up like you did MA.
I bought a house in a lake area New Hampshire is full of rednecks. That’s why they do people don’t do nothing people who vandalize and do drugs and rednecks a lot of people from Connecticut and Massachusetts had a second house there they a worse.
Been up several times June July and August. Searsport, Belfast, Rockland and Owls Head. Really like the coast. Planning on moving in 4 years. This winter we are taking a trip to see how well we would do. Not exactly sure where we will stay yet still looking at that but sticking with the coast maybe further up near Machias Want to make sure we know what to expect.
I just paid $515 for electricity last month for ac in mass
Is the property tax a state or local tax
Can you tell me where in Nh I can buy land and put a trailer
Looking forward to this I want to move there
The State of Maine requires on your State tax return to report all purchases you made in NH.
NH proximity to Massachusetts and particularly Boston provides alternatives to jobs and entertainment.
I lived in nh my whole life. I live in a major vacation spot. It really suck that i can't go do basic things on the weekends. The hardware store that is 15 mins away is at least a 45 min trip. I know where everything is, im in and out. Now try to do the fun things in my area. Well thats not going to happen cause there so many people around wait lines are LONG traveling suck. Ever one thinks there srill in there state. The pandemic made it even worse. Everone had to have a boat. Now winter ski resort 25 mins from me. So i don't just get the summer/ seasonal retirees. I have to deal with the skiers also, so I really only get maybe if im lucky not combined 2 months out of the year that it's just actual locals. Never mind the multi-million dollar seasonal houses surrounding the lake, driving up the taxes to the people that actually live here struggle just to pay taxes. Oh yeah. Also, the local grocery store only sells the best cut of meat from memorial Day to Labor Day
Bruh
There’s also the consideration of how much the median house price has increased in the state compared to the rest of the country. Another thing is the shortage of labor especially when it comes to building a home or getting a contractor/tradesmen for projects. It’s true things are more expensive everywhere in the world now days but Maine is unique in just how severe the situation is. We are in the process of moving there from Texas this year and the challenge keeps getting more and more difficult as we progress in the move. Finding someone to drill a well, finding someone to do insulation, making sure eagles/bears wont attack your small dogs, making sure your your lakeside camp doesn’t get flooded during hurricanes, making sure your propane tank doesn’t leak, finding a used 4x4 car that DOESNT have rust, the list goes on and on. You either need to be very handy or have a load of cash to be able to do this successfully. We are a couple with decent jobs and will still absolutely have to live with family in order to make this a practical move. All that being said I think it’s very worth it if you can pull it off
Don't forget black fly season! The Nascar feeling you get on 93 really came about in the 90s or so. Before then, driving 89 or 93 wasn't full of Massh***s like it is today. Also, NH isn't as cheap as it used to be. There's not a lot of rentals and the price for rentals in Portsmouth rivals California. (I know this because I used to live in NH during high school and now live in CA. If I wanted to move back to NH and live in Portsmouth, I'd actually be paying higher rent.)
There are two seasons in Maine, winter and getting ready for winter! I have been here all my life.
The dark side of Maine is the Massholes and liberals moving here .
If you want to see a million people in New Hampshire, go hiking.
Like dogs don't crap where they sleep, (unless they have to)... Humans should not move to where they vacation.
Live in Kansas moving to Maine next year. 😊
Thanks for the video!
What a snobbish misleading title of this video.
Traffic, crowds?? Maybe also talk about why tourists also visit Aroostook. No crowds, no traffic. Just beauty.
You got to go north of concord to get away from all the wokeachussetts people now
It's all hobos and crackheads. I should know I live here. The woods is filled with drug addicts
One month later you made a video titled “New Hampshire-instant regret”. What gives?
I love Maine, I go every year.
"lack of diversity" Bro defended the wrong point.
BLACK FLIES, MOSQUITOS, HUGE BEETLES, TICKS GALORE WELCOME TO LYME DISEASE!
STOP ENCOURAGING OUTLIARS TO MOVE HERE!
Place is stuck in time in a bad way. 7.25 min wage. What a joke. The work for barely anything and die state.
