Hey I was looking at coming to park city and skiing mid April time how is the snow holding up? Do you think a trip then is feasible with the current conditions? April 11-16
@powisnow49973 ай бұрын
This is my first time out in Utah so I am not entirely sure but it looks like there is still some snow left to fall in Park City before April. All the trails are holding up so far. That being said it is also supposed to be warm. But in my experience skiing on slush in 50 degree weather is a blast. I plan on skiing in Vermont around mid April even if it’s only a few trails open. I say go for it!!

Utah local now. Although I have not skied park city this year, Deer Valley is right next to it and just extended their season. You will probably be confided to groomers but definitely worth the trip. Go for it!

That’s a double black? For Stowe? I know the GoPro makes trails look less steep , but that doesn’t look too hard.
@powisnow49977 ай бұрын
You are right! It is not a groomed trail so I imagine it can get pretty moguly and with the fall line it probably gets tough at times. Though in this video it was a more of a single black until you get into the woods.
@scott7837 ай бұрын
@@powisnow4997 makes sense. With Lookout, Bypass, National, Goat, and Starr, Stowe has a reputation to keep for double blacks. They have even made half of Liftline easier, except for the top portion

Recently Stowe has been putting black diamonds on the trails at Spruce. Used to be all blue squares including Upper Smuggler's, Main St and Whirlaway

@@jasonpizzo2897 I wonder what the reasoning is? Stowe is known all over the world for expert skiing, so they don't have to add to that reputation. Maybe people have gone on upper smuggler's and main street and found them to be harder than a typical"blue" and complained

@@jasonpizzo2897 yeah. I haven't skied since the mid 90s, but I specifically remembered Spruce as being uninteresting and not worth my time (as a kid who lapped mogul runs from dawn to dusk), but when I looked at the trail map recently, I was scratching my head because Stowe is one of the few resorts in NY/VT/MA whose expert terrain warrants caution.
