    Great lap times, for a big car it seems to handle well. Are you punishing those front tires? I am seeing 90-120 degrees steering angle. Braking is awesome, going way deep into 1-5-7.

    No doubt she's heavy but im running slicks and surprisingly they wear pretty well. Running Giro disc's with Ferrodo pads which helps a lot. I should be able to run about 3 to 4 seconds faster with a little more time on that track.

    @@robhamilton1270 nice, I have ferrodo pads on my bike, they are good. Gonna switch to Carbon Loraine pads next track day. That car accelerates like my bike, stupid fast on straights, but deeper braking. What kind of HP does it have?

  • @robhamilton1270

    @jeffjackson8686 stock HP is 650. The only thing I've added is an AWE exhaust and a Rotofab CAI. Might be running about 690 now. Power isn't the issue with this car. It's making it stick but it does handle pretty well once you get used to it and trust it. I'm about to start pulling some weight out now and see how it handles. The car is fun as hell to drive.

    You need to join an HPDE group and then you can sign up for these track events. I joined CHIN Track Days. They are a great organization and will help you get started. You would have to sign up as a novice and have an instructor. Which you want anyway.....I would not recommend going out with a group that does not require some type of experience. It's not as easy as you might think. You can check out pricing on their website. Hope that helps.

    Nice driving and lap times (saw a 2:22 or better) ! I knew you had to have sticker tires than the 3R's the way you cornered! The 3 R's are much better than the Cup 2's...I've run both for a long time.(Cup @'s wear the inside edge wet rubber band too fast and cord!). Love the 3 R's but they wouldn't stick at your corner speeds (you were 3-5 mph faster). Maybe I'll try the Toyo RR's cause I've gone thru about 7-8 sets of 3 R's in 8,000 track miles.

  • @robhamilton1270
    @robhamilton12706 ай бұрын

    The Toyo RR's are a good overall track tire and they last, but there's not substitute for full slicks. I run either Hoosier's or Michelin slicks when I want to run some quick laps. It's a heavy car and I need something that can hold it in the turns.

    Hi Chris, a walk-around is probably a good idea. I'll try to do that in the next week or so. It's a 2019 Camaro ZL1 1LE that I've made a few upgrades to but none that really added any HP. Stock it's 650 HP and it's probably at around 675 HP. Added a new AWE Cat Back exhaust along with a Roto Fab CAI. I did put a couple of racing seats and a roll cage in it for safety. And I generally run Toyo RR's on the track. I run with CHIN about 6 to 8 times a year at different tracks. Do you get out with CHIN track days at all? What do you drive?
