Thanks for the video. I know nothing about welding at the moment and was wondering what type of electrode you were using? I also was wondering if you have any problems with condensation and the wooden frame of the window getting/staying wet? Thank you!

TEMco is my go to welding/battery cable manufacturer. The ONLY competition that welding cable wounldnt win is possibly in the looks department, id rather have my current going to my amps than pretty jackets on my wire. For my money and piece of mind, its weld wire. Specifically TEMco brand. TEMco is the best price and flexible and it looks good imo. Im a welder and have been for 25 years. Ive seen what weld cable can stand up to, its insane. I like that the specs are listed right on the jacket of all certified weld cable. It has to be so you know what it can handle. With most all car audio brands of wire, its anyones guess, 😂. Most people i know also run weld cable after learning over time what the better choice is. Who would choose pretty looks over performance? Thats what it comes down to😊

FYI: Anybody experiencing a hum sound from the rear end of a third GEN explorer (especially under load) around 50-60mph should first check your tires for uneven wear. The auto all-wheel-drive components of these drivelines are very sensitive to this. There’s plenty of detailed info on this subject out there “Explorerforum”, and “SeriousExplorations” are great sources. Quite often that hum in the rear dif can be resolved with a new set of tires. About 5-6 years ago, mine went from a very loud hum to perfectly silent with a fresh set o’ rubber. However, there certainly are plenty of mechanical issues that can create the same hum - such as bearings, worn spider, pinion or ring gears, improper fluid levels, etc…. I’m rebuilding mine now from a broken spider, which still drove fine (other than one-legging) but also caused a hum under load. Just thought I’d mention this in case it helps save someone from rebuilding a perfectly good dif, then still needing a new set of tires on top of that to fix the issue.

well if i recall correctly there was only one coil on the primary side, 240 could allow for more power out, however it would not be stable and draw a larger magnetizing current ( just for the core with open secondary)
