Mason The Mason

Mason The Mason

Welcome to my channel! My name is Mason the Mason. I do a lot of masonry work. Lots of concrete, blockwork, stone, pavers, pool decks, and tons of other projects. My goal is to show you everything I've learned about the masonry trade. I have lots of how to videos on blockwork and concrete. I also like making time-lapse videos of the block and concrete projects. If you have any questions put them in my comments and I'll make videos answering them for you!

Omg.. i turned the bag inside out.. cause i thought the black should be on the outside…AND i didnt wet the bag. Probably why I couldn’t get it to work for too long and went with the old fashioned way.

@Mason the Mason What it SHOULD look like is tool cut joints after the swirls so they match the edge... Rookie mistake im sure the homeowner wont notice👍

For the top of the wall corners when switching to 6” block, do you just stuff in a 2” web piece to make up for the difference when matching an 8” course below? I can’t find 6” return corner blocks anywhere. Would just use 8” in the corner to stay on bond but then the slab doesn’t have a ledge there.

I have a islander pool from Secard pools that comes out 18 inches of the ground on wood frame. I want to do a concrete deck, will the wooden frame be strong enough to hold the concrete

Great video, thanks for sharing. Quick question, if I’m fixing an existing exterior wall that has brick & mortar as my base not painted I just do a two step process leaving the scratch part out correct & is there another mortar mix I can use besides the stucco mix? My area doesn’t seem to have any nearby. Thanks in advance for all your help. E

I live in a little cooler climate than yours, a couple clicks outside of montreal. I really like the way you guys do pavers and flagstone on a slab. I would like to do the same as you with maybe tiles or maybe some sort of flagstone. Looking forward to the rest of this job! thanks for sharing.
