The channel DogCatManVan started as just that. A dog, Rocky, a cat, Archer, a man, Ben, and a van, Dodge Promaster. Ben built out the van from scratch, and documented the entire process here. Each build step comes complete with lessons learned and both failed and successful techniques, all for your benefit.
Then joined a woman Julie, and another dog, Reli, and sadly, Archer left this world. It was a tough and changing time, but the new crew managed to pull off a second van build, the Mercedes Sprinter. Again, the whole process was filmed and meticulously spelled out for the eager DIY van builder in each of us. Enjoy the library of build tutorials and reach out to us at [email protected] with any questions!
With two builds done, the man, Ben, and the woman, Julie, decided to set out on the road in search of great adventure and purpose. You can follow the journey now at their new channel at www.youtube.com/@Out.There./featured

Hi. I saw you van today and it was with Ukrainian paintings, it touched me. Any way, thank you very much❤️
You don't want wool in your walls if you live in a humid environment, air circulation is poor inside a wall. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in water and it needs air movement around it to allow any moisture to evaporate.
Great video. How is your remodeled bathroom holding up after three years? Thank you
How did ya’ll attach the extrusion to your wood framing?
Do they change every year?
i can imagine using some twist to lock fasteners to attach the outer sheeting to the t slot. if they don't exist than could be designed and 3d printed.
install it outside who cares what the neighbors think

This was super helpful, thanks! It's been 2 years living in my van with a shower that i could never finish, im excited to try frp shower walls and finally have a shower!
As a Brit with central heating in every British house. I never knew a water heating system is called 'hydronic' heating. Blow heating was removed yesrs ago from houses.
That was funny!!!😂
I have used it before to make a camper for my truck it’s great stuff, but for a bed frame in a van I would just go with aluminum tube 1/8” or wood, Instead of 8020. Cheaper and lighter. A bed frame doesn’t need to be able hold a few thousand pounds. 8020 really only needs to be used where lots of strength is needed, it’s expensive and heavy.
Welp boys. It looks like im buying a welder. See yall over in the MIG Welding for Beginners comment sections.
Weight savings?...and also, an estimate of the additional cost over purchasing wood for framing...and do u feel as tho the additional cost, plus the weight savings, was worth it in the end...?
Omg finally a video on electric that I can understand… thanks so much…😊😊❤❤

How much fuel use a night to heat van
doesnt look you are broke-- best option is a 12 volt roof ac or a mini split--- the broke people do teh 150 dollar option and they install teh best way through the back window or if you got raised roof through that. cold air sinks the air must be vented to teh roof level somehow or you gonna neeed more pwower for fans

Quit your crying or join the military. 👍
Friends...sleep outside with the bears or pop a tent on the roof. 👍
When you installed the permanent walls, the moisture gets locked in the wool and has no where to go. Good job! 🤣🤣 You have to vapor lock the walls and ceiling to avoid/prevent all moisture buildup.
HeY HoWdY HeY got me dying 😂😂😂
I walk barefoot whenever I can and that includes hiking too. But starting off with such a rocky trail is crazy guys :P That would require a lot of training first. Walking barefoot isn't just about making the skin tougher, but an equally important part is building up stronger muscles in your feet, muscles we don't normally use that much when wearing shoes. They help with better control of weight and pressure distribution while you walk, with keeping balance and can provide better grasp on the surface. Which translates into a much more pleasant barefoot experience overall.
