  Those steel diffs are a must have. My rear diff (stock) lasted 3 weeks. The front lasted 5. When i replaced the rear, i went and bought both sets because i knew I'd need them. Got me a HotRC receiver and transmitter, much better than stock SLT3. Those metal pivot balls are worth their weight in gold. Talking about buying a slider: some stock things you don't want anyway. Arrma servos are garbage in my experience. My Granite servo lasted a month. My Felony servo is crapping out after 4 packs and one little crash into a cement pillar 😮 But it's the motors that crap out, not the gears. The gears are metal, and don't strip in my experience (with a decent servo saver) but the motor will start to hiccup. You try and turn and it won't turn until you give it some acceleration, then it'll happen more and more until it stops turning. Nobody wants a stock Arrma servo. The $20 servo on Amazon (DSServo brand) is an improvement on the stock servo. Arrma 3s is a good platform though, and real easy to wrench on. Granite 3s was my first hobby grade, and now I actually like wrenching on it.

  Btw those battery hold downs are hard to find cuz theyre discontinued. If you bring up a 3908 parts diagram you can get the actual driveshafts for it next time you need them

  Already did the 'trick' on the motorhousing. figured it myself. saw others put grease there to stop dirt and since i didn't like grease everywhere i tried the tape. works great indeed💪🏻

  Nice truck , l like the way you trimmed the body and nice chassis brace! What if you cut out the louvers in the hood with an exacto knife would that help reduce body lift? I have the same truck , the rtr brushless 3s model. I am going to try one of those chassis bags because l am tired of getting the unwanted " rock collection " after every run. Thanks for all the tech tips !

  Yes cutting out the Louvers is a great idea I’ll try that… be careful with those chassis bags as they hold the heat in. Scorched RC makes a shied liner I would like to try and maybe you could look into that instead👍 happy bashing..

  How fast as this actually gone? I have never seen a Rustler specked like that go 100 mph. It looks to me like it would backflip well before then and the ESC likely can't handle the amps needed to get it to 100 mph on 3s. Also, the gearing isn't tall enough. Ask my how I know know... it took me forever to get my Bandit to 100 mph on 3s! Looks of ups and downs! It wasn't easy for me. I will say it is an excellent video with the breakdown of everything!😎

  @@CrownKing-ds8cx I skimmed through it and didn’t see any GPS readings from the car? It looked to me like it was going more like 70 or 80 miles an hour? In the video I was watching, it was not a 100 mile an hour 3s set up. Maybe I missed something? I don’t see any other videos.

Why did you say to look at the other video and nothing is there related to the 100 mph claim? What kind of shenanigans is gone on over here?😂

  Thank you… well it’s different for me because i didn’t get to see the T-Maxx as a Nitro but if i had to choose it would be the E-Maxx just because the differential are stronger and of course the 6s Power..

  Got a teton about 2 weeks ago first week i snapped the suspension arms so i got a full hobby park suspension and the metal driveshafts the second week i burned my motor out so i got a brushless otw yours is the goal for mine to look like one day

  You werent kidding about those battery hold-down retainers being hard to find. There's no sign of them on the traxxas site but you can get every other part. It wasn't easy but I managed to find someone that had 2 sets in stock, I got both just in case 1 set breaks.

  You had other choices rather than cut it. Not saying your idea was bad, just looking out for you because you land the wrong way or smack against something, your chassis is going to snap. Where the cuts are.

  Got my drag slash doing 70+mph, 32 pinion, 76 spur, 3s 7000 mah battery on stock Velineon. Was doing 60mph with 3s 5000mah. Got some 1/8 bsr purple foams for it but haven't ran her yet. Weather's been ish in CT lately
