    Energy can not be created or destroyed... It simply transforms from one form to another.. I find it astonishing that the hologram theory is gaining ground in academia. Educated professionals who believe that we are all made up in someone's computer. This theory consist of people who believe that their creator is a jobless, overweight, blue haired 35 year old living in his moms basement playing a game in which he gave them life. But somehow if you mention GOD, people lose their s&it....

    There must logically be an uncreated creator. Suppose something created God. The question then is "What created that?" So we posit a creator's creator, but again we have to ask "what created that?" It cannot go ban an infinite duration, because even if each creator took only a single second to pop into existence and create the thing after it, but there are an infinite number of creators, we're still trying to traverse an actual infinite. That is, there are an infinite number of seconds before this one, so this second could never arrive. But, of course, this second is here. Which means that time had a beginning. Which means that whatever created time must be outside of time, and thereby, eternal. Peace of Christ to you.

    Your only argument against people believing in a more science based theory of creation is just "nah it's sometning else"? How is that an argument?

  • @AJBernard
    @AJBernardАй бұрын

    Scientists today believe that space, matter, and time all had a beginning. This is what they call the Big Bang. But if space, matter, and time had a beginning at the big bang, the catalyst for the Big Bang must have been spaceless, timeless, and immaterial, since it is what causes space, matter, and time to come into existence. Therefore the creator must, of necessity, be of some other substance. An eternal, immaterial, immensely powerful being such a the Bible describes. See, my argument isn't "nah, it's something else." That's not an argument. My argument is "it had to be something, and it couldn't be made of matter, space, or time. So what fits that description?" Thank you for playing.

    @AJBernard but we have scientific theories that are just as credible if not more credible than the theory of God since we can observe how things react with each other and theorize based on that where things started from. You're theory is just "There's gotta be something bigger, and that thing is God" I got nothing against you being religious, I think if it improves your life or you feel more fulfilled then that's exactly what you should be doing. I just think it's a bit disingenuous to act like the theory of God is the correct one and more credible than other theories when the whole religion is, at its core, based on faith and just trusting that it's true without actual evidence.

  • @AJBernard
    @AJBernardАй бұрын

    All of the scientific theories we have, from Krauss and Dawkins and others, redefine "nothing" as "something," becuase, as Julie Andrews taught us, "nothing comes from nothing. Nothing ever could." So what you're suggesting when you say that "nothing" caused everything is an absolute violation of the scientific laws you are trying to defend. Look at it this way: You're suggesting that nothing caused everything, and I'm suggesting that something caused everything. which view is more reasonable?

  • @meech2163

    @AJBernard what's the point in trying to have an honest dialogue with you if you're just going to deny the very real points I brought up? We know how our world works for the most part and how different particles and things interact with each other under different circumstances. We can use the information that we know is true to make theories based off of the factual evidence we have. Those are the theories I'm talking about. The theory of God is not based on factual evidence, it is based on faith. That's perfectly fine for you to believe, but there are scientific theories that don't rely on you to just have faith in them and we can actually understand them to an extent. I shouldn't have to spell this out, you can believe what you want but don't talk down to people for believing in evidence based theories instead of faith based ones.

    Since you can't prove such a thing called a god exists, the question "Who created god?" is meaningless. This is just more religious propaganda based on myth, superstition, and lies. If the universe requires a creator but God does not require a creator then I have to ask why? Whether you go down one turtle or infinite turtles, you have the same issue if you require the universe to have a separate creator. You have to give a reason why the universe and the creator of the universe are different when it comes to requiring a creator.

    I'm a mathematician. I became a mathematician because I never stopped asking why. "Because I told you to" is never a satisfactory answer. If your teacher had done her job, she would have shown you how multiplying two inverse fractions results in 1, and extrapolate from there. Likewise, a book that's centuries old isn't a good reason to believe that a mind existed prior to the universe's existence, nor that said mind caused or influenced the universe existing. I'm not saying that it's immoral to be religious, but to claim that faith means that you have good reason to believe something is clearly not true, and that's something I care about more than almost anything.

  • @AJBernard
    @AJBernard2 ай бұрын

    You're a mathematician. You understand these things because you have studied them your whole life. I was a high school kid who loved poetry. My teacher understood that I was not capable, with the mathematical vocabulary I had at the time, of understanding it. That's why it took my Electrical Engineer best friend until his advanced calculus class to understand it. My teacher's answer was correct. She understood it, and knew I did not have the time or the capability to. But she asked me to trust her, and as you have validated, she was correct in what she asserted: that is indeed how to do the equation. The Bible tells us about things we cannot understand, because we do not have the intellectual capacity or vocabulary to do so. Things like the trinitarian nature of God, for example. It then asks us to accept those things on faith. But when Jesus was resurrected from the dead and first appeared to the Apostles, He didn't ask them to accept His resurrection on faith... He said "Handle me and see. Give me something to eat." He proved to them that He was alive. Likewise, those same men maintained that story, that they had seen Him risen from the dead, throughout the rest of their lives, some to their own crosses. They didn't relent, they didn't recant. The joke stops being funny when someone drives a nail in your wrist, but the very ones who had seen it were so convinced of it that they were willing to die for it. That's because it was true. We have their witness, and their willingness to die for what they knew, firsthand, to be true. We have good reason to believe that Jesus rose from the dead. If you're interested in more of this, check out the "Minimal Facts Argument For the Resurrection." Peace to you.
