I'm replacing my dual regulator that is rated at 190,000 btu to a dual regulator that is rated at 345,000 btu . Is this going to create a problem. Both are rated @11 . Thanks
Good info... I full-time in a cheap but shoddy park in Phoenix. Just started getting some issues with my AC compressor during peak heat, at first it was tripping the breaker but now I have a fan blowing on the breaker so it doesn't got hot and trip but the AC compressor will just wind down then shut off. After plenty of reading, advice from others and buying a volt meter I see now it is a low voltage high amp issue. The park manager wanted nothing to do with it and got defensive so I called SRP direct and they sent a lineman out and determined they had a low voltage supply on their end (108v @ the master meter). The lineman said they will send out an electrical engineer for complete analysis and to get it fixed it will need a new transformer and/or thicker gauge inbound line. Hopefully they get it to 120v so I can see if the compressor is actually faulty or not. With it running my volt meter is only showing 102v average usually during heat, with the occasional dip down to mid or low 90s and that's when the compressor shuts off. I will be purchasing an autoformer as well just for that added electrical charge and safety.
Thank you for not going off on random other shit like most KZreadrs do…
I found the video informative. I appreciate the honest overview of the various brands and pros/cons of each. I was actually looking at the titan. I have their sewer houses and found them to be very durable. But they don’t store as nicely as the Rhino do. But I think after your video, I’m gonna give the Rhino tanks another look over.
Thanks
I have to replace some of the pipe how do I find out what kind of pipe is there I don’t see any visible writing or anything It’s a 2008 Everest by keystone It looks like the abs they used in the old mobile homes
Ha I was searching for how to replace the underbelly stuff & this video pops up this is why I have to replace the underbelly 😂😂
Saved me a headache thanks
awesome
I can't make this up. I bought a Battleborn 50ah battery for 900.61 CAD. Had issues with the battery since day, got about 2 years of poor use from it and it finally crapped out. Asked to proceed with warranty and they quoted me 816 USD BEFORE TAXES AND DUTIES. Imagine they want me to pay hundreds of dollars MORE than what I paid for brand new. Do not buy Battleborn batteries. I've purchased a few different brands over the years and honestly the cheapest generic brands have worked best for me. No need to spend the big bucks.
I enjoyed your video. FYI you have a typo in the link to your website. Keep the good advice coming.
Not alerting your watchers to the risk of CO is malpractice.
Thanks, Eric! This was a life saver!
We have a 2016 Thor Chateau, bought this to replace the Atwood that busted. The door doesn't fit with trim on the opening, removing trim doesn't solve it. What do you do to solve this wh e n installed on a C class like ours?
Far as I can tell this uses indoor air for combustion. It also discharges ALL the combustion byproducts INTO the inside of the RV. 1.6 pounds of moisture into your space for every pound of propane burned.
❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
great ideas !
This 18 minute video had about 2 minutes of educational content - don’t overfill tote.
I use the zero G water hose for 2 years now and I love it have used it in cold weather
You haven't really given any technical reasons as to why they are the best
Eric, where could I find those 90 degree adapters?
Which adapter were you referring to?
Nicely done video on portable tanks for emptying black and gray tanks for trailers and RV's. Actually appreciated the speed at which the info was given and all the info was well presented. Thank you. My question was answered.
Those "safety valves" can have a problem of falling off just when you need it most. Messy. The connection will turn and unlock when you are taking off the cover cap, twisting the drain hose, vibration from driving down the road, etc. Solution is to purchase and install a 4" Fernco connector for PVC pipe. Slide on the Fernco past the trailer's connectors, attach the safety valve, slide the Fernco toward you to cover the connections: tighten the 2 hose clamps, evenly. Viola! Fernco PNH-44 No Hub Coupling, 4 in, PVC,
I am so glad I found your video. I have an older Arctic Fox travel trailer with a leaky black tank valve. I haven't been able to find a mobile repair guy to come out and fix it, so was just about to make an appointment at Camping World to get ripped off again. The last part of this video showed the twist on valved just solved my problem. $20 on Amazon, and it'll be here in 2 days. You just got a new subscriber. Thanks!
Thank you. Very informative.
I asked a rv repair shop how to buy quality back in the late 90`s. They said only buy a rv made in a year the economy was booming because that's when rv`s are in demand and quality matters. the rest of the time rv manufactures are cutting corners to increase profits and quality takes a hit.
Let some other guy take the depreciation and aggravation the first few years and fix everything that left Indiana new,but broken.
Very true doing this now what a Jayco north point. 5 months and running 😡
Thank you my friend you help me a bunch.
Good review, I have seen batteries go from $200-600 depending on the amp/hr you bought. What would I do if the battery fails within a few years? screw-it, I don't have time to do battle with the battery company. Retired? Money over time taken to get a new battery. I am practicing retirement, and think I will purchase another battery and call it a day. E
Seems the tanks leak in the same location, where the electric heating element goes in near the bottom. It'd sure be nice if someone engineered a weld in replacement for that.
Great video, but when I hit the like button nothing happened? still shows 0?
Hi Eric, really enjoy your podcast. I have the Thetford Aqua-Magic II and its about 5 years old, the bowl would no longer hold water. I discovered the seal conditioner and wall-a, worked like magic, for about a week. I purchased the toilet seal kit at a local RV supply store. The old seals were rough so I replaced both the closet seal and flush seal, using a lite application of silicone plumbers grease to hold the seals in place and lubricate. Wall-a, toilet held water perfectly and problem fixed, I thought. After about a week or so I started noticing the bowl water level lower and lower each time we went to use it, now it is emptying the bowl water in about 10 minutes. I’ve cleaned the seal again from the top with a brush, checked the alignment and confirmed the cup is closing completely. I’m trying another application of the Thetford conditioner and seal lubricant to see if this helps. My question is do you think it would help or is it necessary to replace the “U” cup? It appears to be pristine.
You only discussed the RV plumbing that uses PEX. What about all the braided vinyl tubing RV Manufacturer's plumb with (and often plumb with incorrect pex fittings that leak)? Flair -It also makes an adapter to splice from vinyl tubing (often used in slides or where piping needs to be flexible and PEX is too rigid) and then the manufacturers simply use PEX fittings and PEX cinch clamps on vinyl tubing improperly that will leak. This is typically the most common leak point in RV's where PEX fittings are used on vinyl tubing.
I’m glad you mentioned it. I was waiting for him to explain that and he never did. And what’s with the 3/4” & 3/8” stuff? I’ve never seen a plumbing line in an RV other than 1/2” pex
"it doesn't matter, it's all PEX" - No, in RV's it is all typically PEX B. There is PEX A, common for professional plumbers to use that use different fittings, clamps and rings than PEX B as well as different install tools. Again, at Home Depot and most RV's it is all PEX B, but when shopping for fittings don't buy PEX A fittings/rings, etc.
Well done on a confusing topic! Watch several times...😊
RV filters systems are STUPID expensive. For less than $100 and a minimum of skills you can put together a 2 or 3 stage filtration setup that will do everything an RV specific system will do.
You are right about building your own system and saving some of that hard-earned cash. Thanks
We could not tolerate the Buddy propane heater as we could smell fumes despite windows cracked open. Can anyone assure the Wave heaters have no smell?
The Olympian heater is designed for indoor use, and I am not saying the Buddy heater you used wasn't, but quite often, they are. In my experience, the Olympian heaters do not put off a strong odor. Most LP appliances always have an odor of some kind. Each person's senses are different and can be affected in different ways. Thanks
Been using these heaters for years and never noticed a smell. I think they are great. In fast I just installed one today
Thanks for sharing.
What's the efficiency level? How long on lowest setting with 1 lb of propane? Not a good review! "It's good" isn't a review!

What is the screw on the side of the 2 stage that says gauge on it. Is that to bleed off or to connect a pressure gauge to?
What about moisture/ condensation?
sorry not worth the price can get the same features in a house thermostat for less then half the money ...
Cool but a $250 product that someone can just pick up and look in or steal in a mater of seconds.
Do not drill a hole in that thing! I repeat DO NOT DRILL a hole in that thing. I had liquid shooting out. Good thing it was just a hole from the center of the whole saw. Gorilla glue sticks always sometimes work everytime
I am sorry to hear that. Although, if the liquid was coming out of the hole, there was a problem with the seals not working correctly. Time for new seals or a new valve and seals.
We have a ‘05 Bounder with the Weather Pro awning how do I tell what 9100 will work in my awning? Thanks
Where are you located and will you ship
