I lived in Canada 3 years, Japan 8 years, Australia 1 year and Brazil maybe forever. Brazilians they don’t know how great and rich the country is and the people are awesome except some politicians. Everything is great, weather, food and Nature.
Nice work, vid informative, my husband is British, I'm Brazilian in London for most of my adult life and out if Brazil. We're thinking about moving back to Brazil but the violence do bother us. Any advice on that issue. We have a place in the Algarve, Portugal 🇵🇹 where likely to retired there w8th a " foot " also my home land 🇧🇷 Brazil 💙🇬🇧❤️🇵🇹
I’m in São Paulo State and here is perfect for me ‘cause the health system is great and free ,always hot and very developed city . The food OMG fruit here are amazing cheap and fresh. If you want a great place , just avoid the big cities.
Interesting point of view. I'm Brazilian and haven't been abroad, I do love to watch the foreign point of view of my country. It's nice that you have been used to here.
Still need residency, (still don't know what kind) as the agency asked 3 times for more documents, and at the third time, my lawyer didn't inform me, he just dropped it all. (So its possible that I have to pay for staying illegally) Now, is a lawyer needed at all? He just does nothing except sending papers to the agency....
Im brazilian, i love my country i love its positives and negatives, it is with regrets i say that brazil is one of the most violent country towards LGBTQ+ people, it is the country with the highest homicide/violence rate against trans people, theres some negative aspects of our country that we must learn for self preservation sake Im engaged in my local politics mainly because id hate to shit talk my country and do jack shit about it
Interesting. That's due to Juscelino Kubitschek, a president in the 1950s. He favored cars national industrial. But he also stopped investing in other ways of transportation, such as railways and water, that would make our traffic less sluggish and also transporting goods would be cheaper.
Rio de Janeiro is very expensive compare to all other cities in Brasil. It’s even more expensive than many countries in Europe. South Brazil is cheaper and so much nicer.
I agree.
tell me something... what kind of bag do you use for trash? it's plastic, isn't it? all plastic bags received from grocery stores are used for home trash. no big deal.
It is horrible and it should change. I don't know anybody who uses them for trash, since they are way to small for that.
@@TheBrazilVenture I only use those for trash at home. I don't but any other plastic bag for trash. 🤷🏼
Crimes in Brazil are more about news sensationalism than anything else. It's not worse than average, but the news spreads negativism and most Brazilian people believe and focus on it. Just ignore. No big deal.
Yeah, I agree with that.
Once I talked to a German guy who had just visited Sao Paolo and he was shocked about how costy it was, more than Germany. I guess in Curitiba life cost may be slightly lower than in Germany, but Sao Paolo is more expensive.
Yeah, Curitiba is a bit cheaper then SP. I really like it here.
Earning in dollars/euro SP is cheap. I guess the problem is the Brazilian income, not exactly the cost of living. But I am in Canada now, and oh boy, the food is expensive as hell compared to Brazil. You have to sell a kidney to buy vegetables and meat. Also the rent went to the roof after COVID-19 and war...
@@mattvideoeditor our real/dollar ratio is manipulated by government. Government likes it low, so it exports more. Once it had been 1/1 in the past, and it remained 1/2 for a very long time. So comparing in dollar makes no sense. Real/dollar ratio changed for foreigners out of a sudden, but our prices inflation does not respond to it directly. meat and fruits are known to be cheap here fore sure. but apartment rent is insane. it's equivalent to Paris.
Brazil free health care system is very good and works well everywhere. Problem is that middle class Brazilians have prejudice against it, so they speak down without ever have tried it. Moreoever, if someone has a very serious or rare medical condition, no private health care system will deal with it, only the free one.
Yeah, I love SUS. It works really well in Curitiba. Does it work just as well in other parts of the country? I'm not so sure.
@@TheBrazilVenture I m not sure too, but I think so. SUS's last modernization was made by Lula/Dilma PT, and in fact they tended to invest much more in the northweast and poorer areas of Brazil rather than in the south. So I believe it works well there too, maybe even better than here, but I really don't know. I don't go to doctors, private or free. 🤷🏼
I'm an American living in Brazil. Honestly the worst thing is sharing the road with a lot of motorcycles. People on motorcycles ride like traffic laws don't apply to them. They just do whatever they want and you have to watch out for them. I realize this is going to sound dark, but every time I see a motorcyclist wrecked on the street, I believe it's most likely their own fault.
I agree. However, that really changes from city to city. In SP it's horrible, in Curitiba kind of fine, for example.
@@TheBrazilVenture lol. Yep, And I live in SP.
Thank you for the video. What part of Brazil are you? What city would you recommend for a retiree ? Would appreciate your feedback. Thank you
I'm in Curitiba and can 100% recommend the city. Santa Catarina is great as well :)
Thank you! Appreciate you !
Minas Gerais é o melhor estado para morar . O interior de Minas é fantástico. Gente muito boa e amigável. Montanhas maravilhosas e cidades bem aconchegantes . Comida mineira é deliciosa . Serra da Mantiqueira é 1000.
@bergdossantos9672 Eu também amo Minas Gerais 😍
I bought a great car on auction, super cheap and amazing quality!!
Really? What kind of auction was that?
@@TheBrazilVenture just write leilão carros if I remember how you write it correctly ( ask a Brasilian how it’s written ) and it has many

Nice! I'll look into it!
As a European living in Brasil for 3 years I am super happy and love the people and areas!! Very safe outside the big cities and there are so many things to do…so hard to be depressed here😀❤️🇧🇷
100% agree. Thanks for sharing!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Brasil with S 🤣😂Great👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✌🏻🇧🇷‼️
What’s the monthly salary for a factory worker in Brazil 🇧🇷?
This highly depends on what job and the location. Generally speaking, salaries in the south are higher then in the north.
By the way, excellent video. We are very happy to know that you enjoy being in Brazil.
Thank you so much! I really do 😊🇧🇷
I don't know why US people dont speak Spanish if Spanish is one of his native languages... The only country in all America that dont really speak a romance language.
Here is more info on that: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_English
Hello, Will be leaving Nigeria for Brazil by next September. Please can you recommend the city that would be a safe and cheap place to live.. And where i can a small business, because am very handy
Cascavel, Paraná. Brazil
I can definitely recommend Curitiba.
I try to not critize my country but it is impossible... I love Brazil but the worst thing here is about culture... we are still face the bad thngs related to the socia_lism and progr3_ssism... due to the fact we have relevant social differences the people thinks the goverment can give everything they need to making a living... but almost those things are done badly
Bolsonaro voter for sure, critizes goverment programs for the poor, and than has a goverment job, total hypocrisy, better yet, a true viralata!
Not only that, but it seems like everyone is uneducated and doesn't care about the well being of others at all, specially in the big cities. People constantly pollute the roads and streets with trash (aggravated by the fact that the government doesn't do shit about cleaning it and urban architecture sucks, everything has holes and is slightly destroyed),constantly make a lot of noise,be it with modified bike exhausts or speakers, and forget to train their dogs to not bark at everything. Life in the big cities is living hell imo,but it should be like that everywhere excluding Japan and Scandinavia... I still really like it here, and I wish we could see a change for the better
@@insaeculasaeculorum yeah, you right... too much noise, a big lack of respect, but unfortunately the people thinks the contrary... it is changing slightly over the years but it is far from the normal if we compare to the rest of the World.
I am Brazilian and I live in London for over 26 years. Hearing you talk about my beautiful country made me sad 😔, I miss home, I miss my country 😔💓🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷.
I get it :) Greetings to London :)

What about the Humanitarian visas of Brazil for Afghans?
I don’t know about theses types of visas, but I’m sure they exist 😊
@@TheBrazilVenture I also need to learn Brazilian português. Do you know someone to teach me online?
unfortunately not.
I was in Brazil so often. Outside of Favelas there is not more danger than in other big cities! Look at Ukraine in 2024. Ukrainian children would play in favelas
I agree. I've always felt safe
@@TheBrazilVenture Brazillians are so afraid of many things. At least in Rio. A normal fight upsets them even🤣
Hi, why did you leave First World Country to go to 3dr World Country?
There's no such thing as a 3rd World Country, my friend ;)
@TheBrazilVenture it used to be when i left. But going in the middle economic now. Anyways, why did you pick brazil ?
Because it’s a beautiful country with a beautiful people

Música? I also will move to Brasil in September. Curitiba Sounds great, i will take a look?
You should! Its great!
I live in Curitiba for 25 years and it's a great city, I would trade it only for some nice beach city in Santa Catarina state, maybe
I agree. There are great cities in SC.
Glad to see another expatriate in my native town. As an immigrant here in Canada, I can totally see my home town from a different perspective. You are very lucky. Congrats on your video and good luck in Curitiba.
Thank you so much. Yeah, Curitiba is a super liveable city. I love it here! Greetings to Canada!
When I travelled in south Brasil. I saw many faces like yours, loiro e com olhos azuis/verde. Yes, there are many descendants of German immigrants. The south is amazing. I hope you enjoy your living there. I am starting to make videos to show the life here in China and in the videos, I will speak português. I hope the Brazilians or even the world know better my country. And we are peace lovers
Very true. germans settled more in Santa Catarina and Rio Grade do Sul, but yeah, there are some in Parana as well ;) Wow, China must be awesome!
O melhor estado do Brasil é o Ceará ❤
Awesome! I’ll need to visit!
the Leito on the bus, the interstate coaches in particular, is the one to use if it is an option
It is soooo good!
Ohhh I can relate! I had to google the Definition of expat 🤣 and I am more that than an immigrant in Portugal. But expat is not only digital nomads its also when you move to a country because of work/your company because they have a Branch there. And I can totally understand your point of view and appreciate your positive vibes on this channel! Feels like a happy safe space for me 🧡 love to brazil from the motherland🤣 (not sure if brazilians are so happy with this term but yeah I mean Portugal.)
Im not sure if Brazilians would like that term 😂
Very relatedable reasons! And I definitely love all brazilians I met so far haha 🤣 they are just sooo cute and friendly! Have to come soon and visit you 😍 (i know I say this since forever lol desculpa!!!)
You do! Brazil is really cool! You’d love it

How is Portuguese process? Tudo bem? 😂
Es geht so 😂😂 I’m starting b1 in a month 🤩

Oh man… all options are expensive as hell 😅😅 with the exception of getting married, but that’s not exactly something you can control, you can’t control love… aff 💔 stuck with temporary residence, it seems
Very true. A work visa could work :)
Yes, I’m gonna look into that. I hope it’s feasible. I’m already working but in my field jobs tend to be really informal and they often don’t give you any contracts whatsoever. So they’ve never told me about any work visa. But I’m gonna look into it because I intend to stay in Brazil for a while. Don’t know if exactly “for life” (forever is a long time 😂) but two years go by so fast! It’s such short time imo
I agree! Yeah, the work visa could be the answer here.
I thought we had more English speakers here in Curitiba. We have some Italian, German and Ukrainian speakers too but they are even rarer. About inequality: The south has less favelas because we didn't have many slaves like SP and RJ, the culture here was always of have lots of kids and work for land. So, when slavery got abolished, slaves got help and actually got integrated in society pretty well instead of living in slums... Most our slavery stories are from Europeans (yes, white slaves) as they arrived here late with zero opportunity but still managed. In the end family workforce saved the south.
Not a lot, it seeps. For sure. Thank you for clarifying this!
i lived in japan and united kingdom ,finally got happily settle in brasil..europe has more homless people ,worst healthcare now it's future seems insecure
Yeah, I unfortunately agree!
Yeees!! It's the first time I hear someone complaining about the plastic bags, my god! It's like they make zero effort to be just a little bit ecofriendly. Even if you buy something tiny they'll still give you a plastic bag, you have to actually refuse it. That annoys me indeed.
100% agree!
Do you provide services for retirees Who are thinking about moving there?
I will start offering services surrounding permanent residency starting in late August/September
I've worked in Braziu for a couple of years , 6 month a year , in Maraba , Goiania and Bataguassu , and if you work for a big company , life becomes pretty easy because of the protection they give you . Once I had to go home , and from Bataguassu the driver of the company drove me to an airport , and he gave instructions to the TAM representatives . They seated me alone in the plane in the middle of 3 seats and didn't allow other people to sit next to me . There were nearly only women on the plane . . . Then in San Paulo we landed at the 2nd airport , and my luggage did not arrive . Then I realized they tried calling my name Pfeiff , but I didn't recognize it . So I went to the bali , and indeed there was a very friendly girl who watched over my luggage . Then she told me she was instructed to put me on the bus , so I took my handluggage , she took my case with wheels in one hand and took my hand in hers , and so we walked to the busstation . Their she made sure that my suitcase got a number , she gave me the number and arranged me a ticket to the other side of SP , about 50 minutes by bus . She hugged and kissed me , and even waited till the bus took off , waved me goodbye and went back to work . Where does one find such friendly people ? So spontaneous ❤ Did work there for 10 years , every year 180 days , so lets say for 6 years . For me Brazil is a great country , they offered me a few times citizenship , but with a family and kids it was not feasible at that time . It is indeed difficult to speak English in Braziu, but I've met people who spoke German which is very close to my mother tongue Dutch . Brazil is a beatiful country , and the people have good vibes they are spontaneous and friendly. I am happy for you that you've found your place there . AWS !
Aww, what a lovely story! The country and its people are wonderful, I agree. Have a great day!
What you mean by expat, do you mean imigrant, right. By the way I love Brazil their poeple are super nice and beautiful. I thought of imigrating to Brazil one day just like you.
That's kind of the point of the video, right? There is a difference between immigrants and expats.
@TheBrazilVenture the first time expat was used it was from the Brittish, having all the colonies they didn't want to be mis with the "others" sontjey are star using the word expat because they thought they were better than the rest. There were imigrants thought all times that had money and others they didn't, some highly educated and other no, someone's stay in the new country and others go with the intention of returning and they sent all their money back home. Imigrant is the right word and it also identifies someone who is brave enough to let go of everything familiar and conftarble to go for an adventure.
I think it used to be the right word. In today's (work)culture and with globalization in general, I do believe that there is an important distinction between the two words.
This will be my fisrt trip with my fiancee
