I'm Luke, otherwise known as "Luke C In a HGV" and I'm a UK Truck vlogger
I'm a 3rd generation truck driver, My father and his father before him were also truckers. I've been driving trucks since early 2016 but been around them my whole life.
I love technology, I love to have and play with the latest gadgets and I love motor sports and enjoy driving for fun. So I combined the driving and technology together to create this channel and decided to make video content.
I create content on KZread to help create awareness around the job, Show potential newcomers what it is like to drive trucks and show them the benefits of being a driver. I Show the Good, The bad and the ugly. Not everyday is a good day but the majority of the time its an amazing job and i absolutely love it!

How do you change the height settings from meters into inches
By changing the units from imperial to metric

Its a hell of a lot easier to pass the FLT test than a C+E, i have done both, and its your absolute responsibility to correctly secure a load. what kind of employer allows their people to "ban" someone, they need to get a grip.

Hi Luke, those two garden centres used to be two of my drops when I worked for a wholesale supplier to garden centres. strange seeing them again ten years after the company i worked for went bankrupt (due to the new owners getting greedy!)
Get the lads to take the trailer in with the shunter so you don’t damage the truck. Also if you ask nicely they will tip the trailer over night if you drop it

Any company banning a driver, the drivers company should then say ok and not take any work coming in and out of that yard. They will soon stop this banning lark.

I would have 4 on stack 2 pulling either way especially on new mesh rusty mesh doesn't move as much as shiny new mesh but it's up to the individual . It's easier to put on extra rather than pick it up or get it put right
you got banned for stating some think was not safe. its easy to say just 4 straps when your not the one taking the shit for it when its fell off the back.

I agree with Bambitheman. However, why not knock on the door, and ask if its ok for you to park up there, explaining about the safety aspect. Its surprising how majority of people would be quite ok with it. They can only say no
if bumps are too extreme for a truck to get over, they are certainly too high, am sure if enough haulers complained/refused to go, or started chasing for damages, theyd soon remove them. there a litteral legal limit to them on public roads partly for this reason.

Luke, what is the longest demurrage time you have had? Mine has been 4 days to unload a USA Army munitions ship about 10 years ago. Think it was for Thailand, Australia, USA military exercises.

This is how to strap a load. Chaos on the A34 this morning small pick up truck did not. Half his load in the right hand lane. Cops with him further up in the right hand lane. Opps.

Hi Luke, on the A47 towards kings Lynn this morning, I spotted a harry & Sons lorry, pretty sure the logo said Wisbech. Am I seeing things.
Im in a ridged Scania cracked my fuel tank 3 times in a couple of weeks but i do get sent to some right stupid places ive started to say no to any drop where im going to scrape....
