Im almost done with the final draft of my book. So far the word count is 23415. I plan on going for a 8.5 sized book. How many pages would that be? Im hoping to get 100 or more pages AT LEAST. My books also a fantasy.
Its a big lie, do not sent your work to draft2digital, they do not have any customer service, for every issue, they start over, and over, i am not sure if draft2digital is legit in its activity, if the authorities are functional in usa they should make a search in draft2digital

I just went through a fanfiction off of AO3 and deleted all the authors notes and links for art people made at the end of each chapter (and the tags at the beginning). on my computer it shows how i edited it nice and clean but when i send it to my kindle all the stuff i got rid of still shows up. The clean edit version is saved in calibre but for some reason is not translating to my device like it shows. Any idea what is going wrong and how I can fix it?

You mean you are allowed to publish the same book with KDP and Draft 2 Digital? If you use D2D and include Amazon in your selections, you probably can't go to KDP and use it to publish physical books, if I understand. I gotta watch this again. I do remember trying to post existing Ebooks of mine to D2D, and D2D appears to have blocked them.

I am new to all this. I tried to access Audio Lab. I signed in and it took me to the welcome screen . Pressing “get started”(either of two places on the screen) and it took me back to the “about ACX” screen. Never gives me the option of uploading an mp3 file. Pressing “Need help“ bottom doesnt help! Please advise. Also cannot find audacity links. Please advise.
I would never stoop so low as to use Digital Rights Management for my writings. I want people to read my book and unfortunately that means there's going to be people who cannot afford to do so because society prays to money and decides to fuck humanity over. Piracy is a necessary thing to remind ourselves that money is a false god.
There are supposed standard sizes which are far from ration in the USA. To add to the confusion even with those standard sizes, they are so erratically trimmed you will be guessing as to what they are supposed to be by just measuring samples. Best is to go for roughly the size you want, get quotes from printers asking for the most economic size for them. It is very easy to choose a size that turns out to be rather inefficient and cost you more than it needs to be. America because it is not metric has really random paper sheet sizes and weights that fold and divide at widely different proportions, sizes and trims. Don't make the mistake of getting a book that is too small for your content and therefore has poorly laid out text, that is hard to read, with line lengths too short or too long.

i hate this platform since it's so limited in terms of the fonts and layout you can use. It's pretty sterile so I hope there will be another platform that will be more creative-oriented vs old school and limited.

I have two books published by Draft2Digital and got my two royalty checks both were $2.83 I love everything else they offer. They are better than my last publishing company, but one thing I wish they would do is to have Walmart's Website sell the books so more people can buy them not just for me but all author.

Hi guys. Quite a while since you recorded this video and I'm just watching it now. I'm recording my audiobook outside audacity but using audacity to edit and master. I will be selling it on samcart. I have a question, maybe you can help me with. I'm uploading each chapter separately to audacity. Do I need to merge to one file and then tag the chapters when downloading? How do I ensure the customer gets a file with individual chapters versus one complete file they have to scroll through. Just wondered if you might be able to help with this question. Thank you. you just made me want to givce up writing, im new and have writen alot of books, but it sounds way to complex, i just lost hope after looking up fonts and sizes, it to hard, I just want my book printed and sold. cant you smart people just keep it all simple not everyones a genius and know everything.

I published a print book on Amazon under my own ISBN. Can I erase that book publication on Amazon and republish on draft2digital with that same ISBN?
Yes, you can un-publish and republish on a different platform as long as you own your ISBN. However, if you plan to remain on Amazon KDP, you can simply publish everywhere else using Draft2Digital, and retain your Amazon KDP listing, saving yourself the D2D aggregator fee. Good luck!
