    The keg handling is going to get that kid a short career. I’ve been delivering for AB for 17 yrs. The driver had a keg on the ground and his 2nd is on a shelf and he dropped it to the ground. Get the 2nd keg on its side drop to the down shelf then rotate to on top of the 2nd keg… 🤦🏼

  • @MuckoMan
    @MuckoMan2 жыл бұрын

    I’ve been at AB for 18 years myself. I was the dumb guy who used to just pick them up and put them down. Carry them down the stairs and all. The job makes you strong as a bull. Problem is your bones are still human. Now I am stuck in the warehouse on a forklift. My knees and back are all bone on bone. I should have listened to the old timers when I had a chance. Good advice.

    As a new delivery driver I have to ask what you do when the bottom shelf is full of kegs and the one you need is on top. I'll drop 1/4s to the bottom shelf if there's a free space down but I let 1/2s hit the ground no matter what. I'm a little guy. Keg weighs more than me. I can lift em but if they get away from me I'm screwed. If it's on the bottom shelf I'll rotate it onto my first one but top shelf? I let em hit the ground every time

  • @kyleb2214

    1st I have to ask what kind the pallets your WOD is using. If your using AB pallets you will have enough room to bring a 1/2 keg from top shelf to bottom shelf by turning it sideways. If you are not using the AB pallets then you need to go from top to ground. The non AB pallets stick out to far.

    Back breaking work , it’s a joke to deliver supermarkets and merchandise, then deliver to convenience stores and clean up there cooler mess and then merchandise and then merchandise before bringing in the new product. Then when you finally get done , some of this accounts don’t want to give you the invoices till they check your work and make sure not to leave a mess. Our beer distribution company does not want us to complain and just do the work .

Not knocking all the beers and sodas, they are good company’s but in the long run they will break you down. Knee surgery’s shoulder surgeries back surgery.
