That lead guitar had an interesting, metallic tone to it. It fit this song well. The young lady was bad a- - ed on those drums.

Anyone remember this from the match in the 1960s. LFC used to sing it a lot but most clubs did as well...

What was it about these very early Invasion bands that often had one member who wore horn-rims and looked a dork? Hermits, Freddie-Dreamers, Honeycombs, Zombies

They're one hit wonders in the United States but had several hits in England. The lead singer and drummer both died. The lead singer walked around while he was singing.

28:45 the 19th century did indeed produce some great sportsmen including James Renforth who should have been given a mention. Spent most of his young life in Gateshead, he became the world Sculling champion in 1868. One of Tynesides greatest oarsmen. He died at the age of 29 competing in a race in Canada under suspicious circumstances. Around 100,000 people attended his funeral in Gateshead and you'll find a memorial to Renforth outside the Shipley Art Gallery. He also happens to be one of my ancestors 🙏
