sir ask ko lang po dito po sa example sa book hindi na sinama yung impedance ng line at Fault 1 for solving the thevenin equivalent impedance bakit po kaya eto po yung problem sa book " A 3-phase transmission line operating at 10 kV and having a resistance of 1Ω and reactance of 4 Ω is connected to the generating station bus-bars through 5 MVA step-up trans- former having a reactance of 5%. The bus-bars are supplied by a 10 MVA alternator having 10% reactance. Calculate the short-circuit kVA fed to symmetrical fault between phases if it occurs (i) at the load end of transmission line (ii) at the high voltage terminals of the transformer"

sir sample nga po ng base voltage computation kase dba nagbabago bago sya.. and pano kapag step down and step up transformer sya tas kocompute tayo ng per unit ? thank you sir ..
The computations are already there, the principle of the tranformation ratio is the same which is a=v1/v2 or simply Vbase1/Vbase2 dependent on the region. There are times that the base is on the 1st or 2nd region but what ever region that you choose, the answer on the bases are the same.In terms of pu value, just divide the actual values by the base or if you have %reactance simply change of base. All of that is on the fundamentals and problem solving. Goodluck po

Sir good evening. If we will use per phase analysis, shouldn't we use line to line voltage for both send and receiving end instead of line to neutral? considering the system is 3phase 3wire.
The name implies per phase is voltage line to neutral. Thus, if the given is line to line divide it by sqrt of 3. Goodluck
Sir nakita ko po yung problem number 3 kay schaums. Same process po ng solution pero yung denominator po niya sa Zbase is walang sqrt(3) kaya yung answer niya sa Zbase is 13.4 tapos yung x_old=0.627 and x_new is 0.688. Nalilito po ako since magkaiba po kayo ng answer.
wag kang magyado magpakampante dyan kay schaums.maraming mali. do my method is different.iba iba analysis sa problem. goodluck
