So the owner failed to maintain heat on the building? It is a code requirement to maintain 40 degrees. It sounds more like like the owner failed to follow instructions tha that the sprinkler system failed.

Excellent informational video. We're about to have Cambria countertops installed in our kitchen. We've been told to use trivets. The key words are over time. It's not worth the risk to not use a trivet because it is so expensive. And who wants their beautiful Cambria damaged? Not us. Thanks again!

Thank you for the excellent video and insightful comparison! I have a specific question regarding a bathroom remodel I am undertaking in a house experiencing foundation movement. The frequent shifts have caused the grout joints to crack, and occasionally, even the silicone joints exhibit minor gaps along the vertical lines. To mitigate these issues, I'm considering groutless solutions, particularly the slabs you discussed. In my renovation plan, I intend to incorporate the Schluter-KERDI waterproofing system, alongside the Schluter-DILEX-BWA Movement Joint, which functions as an expansion joint/perimeter joint to prevent vertical joint cracks. My question pertains to compatibility: of the four slabs you reviewed, which ones can be effectively utilized in conjunction with the Schluter movement joint and KERDI waterproofing system? Thanks in advance!

Great vid! All the folks shocked by pricing most likely don’t understand the full picture, so that seems pretty darn expensive at first glance! Keep in mind, they just touched on pricing in this video, there’s a lot of factors that come into play in that regard. Being a PNW native myself, I know that you’ll spend about 2-3x as much on materials than you would in the Midwest. There’s also a huge demand for contractors currently and so the cost to get projects like this done by a pro are driven up by the market. Take everything with a grain of salt, and don’t expect your process to fit exactly what these channels tell you.

this video must be referring to the cost of building a bathroom in or onto a mansion. 60 to 90k? lol, ok I hope the creator of the video was talking mansions, cause where i live you can buy 2 houses for 100k, lol

Cabinet Refacing is the sweet spot for outdated kitchens when painting or staining is just perfume on a pig and a complete tear out is more that you need. Refacing is done in many different ways and results can vary dramatically. If you are buying refacing spend some time doing real research and learning about the options and variables to avoid a serious case of buyers remorse. There are high quality good value options and there are some real rip off versions as well. Buyer beware.

You guys need to understand homes are 500k now days. The bathroom has the most skilled installers, the most expensive materials, and the most fixtures and features other than a kitchen. The bedrooms are basically outlets, a fan, and drywall paint and flooring. Thats why bathrooms are more expensive as they are the most valuable and useful rooms in the house. Other than a kitchen. Sure they arent as big as a living room or bedroom. But you get more use out of a bathroom as they take care of your waste and clean you. And get you ready for the day. You can go without being in the living room but you have to use the bathroom daily. Thats why they make up a large portion of the homes value.

That sink in your video is a two-level style, which is even more expensive than normal. I have actually seen work station sinks in the $400 range. I don't think that some of the features of these sinks are as beneficial as they appear, unless you are a super user. For one thing, if the cutting board is below the level of the counter top, you will hit your knife on it. I think that prospective buyers should picture maybe one or two accessories that they want to use, and base their purchasing decision on that. For my purchase, I really am interested in the roller mat, which can create a lot of space.

I just ordered mone through magnet in the uk They have discounts at the moment So if you are in the uk, maybe check out magnet Stuff is expensive but worth it I got trillum dekton, It works out around 6 thousand we paid and it was 40 percent off Just for the dekton Be prepared to have a long wait to have it installed Not to long, 2 weeks, but it's still feels long When you just want it finished Good luck 👍

Also, most women get what they want, so expect to have to put your foot down for the dekton If it's not something she wants Most women get the typical boring kitchen, I had the same debate at home

  • @michaelkagan6910

@ryansweeney1661 Unfortunately/ fortunately, I do not live in the UK, so I will not be able to take advantage of the sale, but thank you for the info. There are so many reasons to like Dekton or any other sintered stone. The only negative is the cost of bothe the stone and the fabrication. If only everyone realized this

You need a microphone. Sound is awful pricing is outrageous. We just did a complete remodel at your #2 level for $9000 labor and $3500 materials. It included complete shower conversion. Flooring, tile 4 ft up on all wall in bathroom. Shower panel install plumbing, light fixtures and lighting. Rebuild linen closet hang mirror and painting. I’m also in Vegas. We have some of the highest home prices in country.
