If you are planning - or dreaming of - your next holiday? Grab your suitcase and travel back to the past. Understand and visit the places, people and monuments of history from medieval crusader holy sites to blood covered Aztec temples. Mingle with the locals from ancient Babylonian fish-people to medieval Chinese admirals. And maybe the odd trip into places that could have been or even into the deep, deep past.
Each video takes quite some time to hand make the visuals, animate and to research as factually accurate as possible.
Suggestions and ideas always welcome.
Hope you enjoy.

Wite power projection. When Wite power provide the narrative on world history you can be sure it's gonna be wishful thinking and distortsion. Anglos Saxons think you're Romans and Ancient Greeks. LOL Stick to your Braveheart stories.
Ex. Woke dismantled the wishful, bliss and false mentality of colonial statues in USA/Canada. Now, the truth comes out and the Confed statues are down and Residential school advocate McD (Canada's first PM).

It took the crusaders to deliver yet what for they still can't stand each other
To be fair, I think they just hated everyone 😅 …that’s the medieval way 💪🏻
This one looks like it was a lot of fun to make ❤❤
Crusader Jerusalem sounds awesome! 😎 Alot cooler before the Arabization of the entire Levant
lol, well keep in mind they won’t have any angry security guards bullying people around either… those medieval people had it easy haha
@@cartoontraveller 🧐, I subscribe to the Pre Modernist KZread channel and he says there was no police force in the medieval ages neither in the times of the Roman empire, that's why everyone was armed, he also said to bring a dagger or something to fend off harassment in case we go time traveling and that a gun wouldn't work because people back then wouldn't know what a firearm is. *Sip* a-ha
@@54032Zepol I think the police was a Victorian British invention. But yeah lol, to be fair, in ancient and medieval times people just dished out their own justice… ‘flaming pitchfork burny burny kill kill’ style. Pretty sure that style of justice still prevails in some modern countries today 😅🤔

Awww thank you very much mate. Glad you like it - I’m thinking of a dinosaur era episode next… see how that episode goes hahaha 😅
Looking forward to more videos.
Thanks, I have a few in the pipeline. Even thinking of making a Mesozoic timeline video… bit of a side step but worth a go maybe 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Absolutely amazing and well done video. Love how you mentioned that this wasn't a grand clash between two faiths, but was more complex than that. For example, Alexius had an alliance with various Seljuk Muslim emirs and they fought together against bohemond of Antioch in 1107. Also, there was an alliance between the Muslim Umar of Azaz and Christian Godfrey of Bouillon against Umar's rival Ridvan of Aleppo. Also worth mentioning that the biggest source of inspiration for the crusaders to go to Jerusalem was the prospect of fulfilling pilgrimage and "Imitatio Cristi" (imitating Christ). Truth is the Christians at the time had little knowledge nor care about Islam, their priority was to make pilgrimage to Jerusalem and fulfill Christ's commandments.
Thank you very much, glad you liked the video! 😃 exactly, I wanted to highlight the outdated and prevailing notion it was Christianity vs Islam. If anything I missed out, which would have been good to include, was the power struggles at the time of the competing Islamic ‘states’ such as in Aleppo and how they were weakened already even before the crusaders came along. Just good timing on the crusaders POV. Also didn’t even think about the stations of the cross and imitating Christ - that would have made a great addition to the video! Fantastic idea. Maybe I’ll have to revisit it in a later video 😃
@@cartoontraveller 100% agree with you. The Seljuks and Fatimids both were undergoing major successions crises and were basically tearing themselves apart. The Seljuk sultan had recently died and his son was dealing with revolts all across the empire. Aleppo and other regions of Syria seceded from both empires and different emirs proclaimed independence. Refuting the idea of a clash of civilisations between Islam and Christianity was what I actually wrote my dissertation on 😁 specifically the popular idea that the first crusade was some grand defence against a united Islamic front hellbent on fighting Christendom. Was very refreshing seeing this sensitive topic visited in such an objective way. You've definitely earned a sub man
@@r.a1301 thanks, that actually means a great deal and it’s fantastic having such a knowledgable audience appreciate the videos. Great insight and thanks again 😊

Hi! Just wanted to say I love your videos, in particular the detail in the visuals. But also the humour. Light fun education. Keep them coming 😊

Nope. Too modern and too full of religious freaks.
I think it would have been an awesome place to live. Sounds really clean and safe
Just as long as you don’t mess with their secret police 🤔😬
@cartoontraveller it was mostly neighbours grassing on eachother... just like the wokerati want it
I'll pick out a few of the many mistakes in the video: 0:27 This map is absolute bullshit. If you are already basing this map on the “Lebensraum” chapter from Mein Kampf, you should also mention the context. There were no plans to conquer territories west of Germany - Britain and France declared war on Germany, not the other way around, which is why they invaded there. As far as the east was concerned, and I'll ask you personally: do you really think this map in the east is geostrategically successful? It's utter nonsense to divide up an area that demands such huge borders. Hitler clearly described in his book which parts he wanted to incorporate into the Reich: Namely the areas where German minorities lived. For example Poland, Czechslovakia, Austria. And in the Soviet Union there was no German minority, it was an ideological war in the East, not a territorial one. 0:45 National socialism is not the same as fascism - TIKhistory has made a very good 5 hour documentary on this, which explains it very well 1:25 No mistake, but I personally find it very interesting that Georges-Eugène Haussmann did exactly that in Paris between 1853 to 1870, that's why Paris is as beautiful as it is today 1:42 “After construction it was discovered...” is poor wording. A “Schwerbelastungskörper” was built to test the ground. And yes, it sank. But it sank so minimally that the architects said it was okay to build. After all, the weight would have been better distributed under the Triumphal Arch in real life than with the Schwerbelastungskörper 2:29 That you don't consider “Nazis” human by your wording is the same mindset that the Nazis applied to Jews. So congratulations, you've learned a lot from history. 2:39 The fact that you mention Tempelhof Airport, which actually exists, in a video entitled “...That Never Was” seems a little out of place to me 2:51 The Reich Chancellery was more built on a temporary basis. Hitler and his successors would have ruled from a Führer building to the left of the Volkshalle 4:21 An absolutely strange outcome. After all, Germany had built the world's first rockets during the Second World War and the moon landing of the “Americans” was mainly made possible by former Germans. Why would Japan suddenly come to the moon? 4:51 Why do you keep saying “Nazi-Germania” (-City) all the time? I mean, New York isn't called “Capitalist-New York” or “Capi-New York” either. So if you don't know anything about history, then please stay out of the alternative history sector.
😂 dude have you thought about anger management classes… it’s a KZread video, chill out. And yeah, I didn’t read what you put 😂👍🏻 life’s too short ❤️❤️❤️

Nah, please don't make up the history to frame the others. None of these countries has colonial/invasion history from Ming Dynasty. Neither any of their stone tablets carved with any barbaric n disrespect words. At that time, there's no other political regimes in China mainland, why would they need to force anyone to acknowledge there's only one China in the mainland? BTW, it was King Alakeshvara (at Sri Lanka) who ordered to rob and kill the Ming's merchants in the first place, they just retaliate. FYI, they didn't force people to trade with them and they never would, because that's not their culture. They are agriculture civilisation, not the pirates civilisation. They never find the pirates romantic.

East Asia had a lot of history in sabotaging itself as a colonial power.
But just think… when they do finally nail it, it doesn’t look pretty - imperial Japan 🙈
@@cartoontraveller Japan doesn't represent East Asia, japan was and is still just a small part of East Asia. Nor do the japanese people represent East Asia, japanese just made up a fraction of East Asia, and even the Ryukyu (Okinawa) people also do not consider themselves as japanese even though they speak some form of "Japonic language". The mindset and attitude of people in East Asia varies differently just like any other part of this diverse world.
