Magic & Bird both played in a manner that made their TEAM better. That’s why both guys had an immediate impact on their respective franchises. As opposed to only padding their own personal stats at the expense of their TEAMS performance and taking 7 years, a watered down expansion league, and the old guard to finally .... GET OLD in order to finally do something DESPITE continued selfish play. -Bird took a 29-53 team to a record of 61-21 in his rookie season. Won a ring in his 2nd season -Magic won a ring in his rookie season and was Finals MVP.

Hakeem upped his game here because he was angry about the MVP snub. Can you imagine what Hakeem's career would have looked like of he played with this intensity nonstop? Dude is a legit top-5 center while being chill & happy for most of his career. Imagine if he had dialed in his rage a bit more 😅

You can make an entire highlight reel of Dr. J featuring Kareem and the Lakers. They keep showing up in the Doctor's highlights. Just shows how great he was. Not only did he dominate, he did it against the best.

I was there for the last dunk in the old Miami arena against the heat. Best live dunk I have ever seen. One handed alley opp which was a little behind him. He could jump out of the building.

There are MANY greats. Scorers like David Thompson, Pete Maravich, George Gervin, Steph Curry, Bernard King, and Kobe Bryant. Defenders like Bill Russell, Michael Cooper, Bobby Jones, Wilt Chamberlain, Tim Duncan, Gary Payton. And all-around players like Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, John Havlicek, Russell Westbrook, Nikola Jokic, Larry Bird. But of ALL of the greats, Dr J was the one player who transcended specific categories. He’s the best overall player I’ve ever seen, and he STILL has many of the top individual PLAYS I’ve ever seen. And it’s not even close!!

When i played basketball, my best frend was the biggest Isiah Thomas fan, his dribling was also amazing, i never seen anyone who makes it so similar as Isiah, too shame He became not pro basketball player in his time. It was Poland 90t's.
