Great take that's right on the money except for the very end. I don't think they want the world on fire such as they just don't care if the world gets set on fire in the process of making it without regard for any other consideration. As a result they're a vice industry appealing to our basest instincts rather than an instrument of positive change in the world.

Yeah, constant posts about the dumbest shit just to set people off. You get more of a response when people want to correct people. You get more of a response when you piss people off. A dislike is the same as a like, it's numbers to stay relevant and make money. A lot of agent xs and bots online to continue this. It makes people not get along and question the reality of it all.

That there are no right wing academics in the humanities & social sciences shows their lack of interest. Peterson forgets that segregation in America only ended around 70 years ago, not a long time to create a meaningful balance. Black people were only able to progress in music or sports until recently & this is only due to race shaming the hierarchy. Women advanced in a similar way. The riots of Stonewall against constant persecution of police raiding gay clubs only go back to 1969. Peterson should think of recent history with greater precision & perhaps reflect more on the actions of the unacceptable right. A balance has been long overdue, perhaps those with empathy turned to the left when they saw such subjugation & injustice. Unlikely as they benefited from the status quo & generally lack empathy. Peterson has no experience of irrational prejudice, an initial deliberate action to address the imbalance was crucial for aspiration of success.
