    I think you went a bit overboard with this one buddy. How are you going to manage six rod? Why would you even need six rods for kayak fishing? I find that two is more than enough. I could see if you were doing some ocean fishing.

    There are more people than not that carry 5 plus rods while kayak fishing. Managing that many rods is the easy part.

    If you plan on getting the same kayak. You will have no problem at all. The tamarack is very manageable. Light weight. I transported it on a Toyota Camry. Also a van.

    There are many different styles to choose from. Check these out from YakAttack. www.yakattack.us/catchnrelease-drip-ring-pair/ You can find them on eBay or Amazon. Or check out your local sporting good store. They may also carry them. I now use Werner Paddles. www.wernerpaddles.com/ A little pricey. But well worth it.

    Every angler only needs three fishing poles on a kayak. If you can't catch anything you're doing something seriously wrong. Bait /crickets , minnows, shad. Three test lines . Milk crate, air horn , life jacket, anchor, tow line, first aid kit, two minny flash lights. Dry bag/ plastic sandwich bags . Water bottle turkey sandwich. ...😆

  • @WestCoastBassin
    @WestCoastBassin4 жыл бұрын

    Great opinion! And everyone has a right to their own! I know many anglers who carry more than I do. Its about being prepared! Out of the 6 I may only use 2 that day. Just depends on how the day goes. Also each line has something different tied on. So while your baits are not working and you are spending time trying to figure out what to tie on next. I will keep on fishing! Thanks for the opinion though! #WearYourPFD

    What are the color sleeves around your rods?

  • @WestCoastBassin
    @WestCoastBassin5 жыл бұрын

    they are flotation devices. So if I was to drop a rod in the water it would float and I would not lose my gear. They are good to have for sure. But now I have actually switched over to Rod leashes instead. Sometimes my line got caught in those flotation devices.

    Learned to fish in Spokane. Floating around in an inflatable raft on West Medical and Jump Off Joe Lakes. Fast forward to now: I have one of those kayaks on order and am going to try it as an easier to transport alternative to my 12 foot Sea king for fishing San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. (I live in NorCal now).
