If they are really dating, I think I can understand why Luke being indifferent with her in public. Too many eyes are looking at them. Antonia seems okay with it but we all know Luke has an anxiety in which maybe he doesn’t want his nervous tics effect his gf or even worse might offended her. It’s opposite when he was with Nicola because they are promoting their project and obviously they had known each other and work together for 5 years now. What to expect from a bestie that had the best chemistry in the series. Too comfortable around each other 😂 Although I like Luke & Nicola together (which I always in denial whenever I see their sus interactions, because I weirdly think they actually mirroring Polin story irl too 😅) but I really don’t want to see the fans trying to ruin Luke’s relationship like this. He has the right to choose whoever he want to be happy with. Lets wish Nicola the same thing too. No matter how great the chemistry are, sometimes it’s just not meant to be. Don’t cause a salty drama between them. Dearest Luke, I hope you step up to this and stop the media from stirring things up. Take Collin’s advice, “had the courage to speak”.

Exactly. Its the bodylanguage thats distance. Sure partly he might be a private and shy person who doesn't want his relationship exposed for the world to see. And nicola is a friendship and pr by its very nature is exposing. But still his bodylanguage is distant with his girlfriend in semi private moments. You should be at ease with a partner if you ask me. Either way I think people need to stop interfering in their private lives. I get the sense luke has to work through some stuff. Just wish them luck.

There were at least 2 places where there should have been additional intimate scenes for Polin, and the absence left gaping holes in the story. Colin almost felt like a side character in his own romance! Even in the mirror scene, despite the expressions and acting talent of Luke and Nicola, it felt incomplete. Where was the affection? Where were the loving caresses? They barely touched each other! The mirror scene in the book was about embracing and exploring her, unclothed in front of a mirror. The woman he has been fantasizing about is finally bare in front of him, and he doesn't touch her, or admire her, he just says "Lie down." Really? The writers and director should have done a better job. We also didn't see the rest of the Bridgerton family coming to terms with Pen's alter ego. Violet and Anthony didn't have anything to say to Pen and Colin about what she put them through? Or Pen and Colin working through their pain and anger, together? They just fast forwarded a year and voila! Everyone is happy. Total copout.

@@manoeldossantossantos149 They have so much natural chemistry and affection. I wonder if their contracts have non fraternization clauses. They can't risk having costars date and break up and make it difficult (or impossible) to work together, especially when it would be difficult to recast them. It's also possible that one, or both of them, is so focused on their career, and taking advantage of all the attention, to be distracted by a social life. Maybe they want different things in life. She is 7 years older and at a different point in her career than he is, This is his first real international spotlight, while she has begun doing films and is juggling multiple series, as well as guest starring in Doctor Who. There is talk of her being in the next Bond movie. Luke only shows Bridgerton and voicework for an upcoming animated project. I imagine both of them will be juggling a number of offers over the coming months. We aren't all crazy. There is something real between them. The way they touch each other, and look at each other. They seem to be drawn to one another. Maybe it just isn't the right time.
