His singing style changed somewhere between Starship and the more modern musicals. While I love his new stuff like Wagon on Fire, Made In America, and his duets in Firebringer, I can't get over how much I loved his tone in songs like Granger Danger, Status Quo, and Sidekick.

Great, now I'll be up all night, binging SAF. I agree with all you've said. I dearly love this whole musical and everyone in it. All it's missing is a cameo by Dianne. I love introducing people to SAF with Nazis Are Not So Bad; it tells them nothing of the plot really, but lets them in on the ridiculous fun before they start at the beginning and get hit hard in the feels.
