  My two cents: Lucille Ball was a glamorous actress at one time and then her obvious high light was the I Love Lucy tv show, still seen in repeats to this day. But I feel that after that show ended, all subsequent versions of her tv show Here's Lucy, etc. were lackluster just like this movie. Lots of tv sequels are cancelled almost immediately. That smoker's voice was disturbing to me every time I saw her on tv.

  I believe they certainly “had it”, it was not forever….but apart they still loved each other. So much of life is not forever. My husband of 28 years, gone not for 10 was truly wonderful….better to loved and lost than never to have deeply loved at all.
