Red Squirrel Resources

Red Squirrel Resources

We are creating the ultimate online resource for forest school leaders.

We have brought together experienced nature mentors and forest school leaders and expert games pedagogues to create bite-size, step by step how-to videos of games, crafts, skills progressions and seasonal activities to do in nature.

Not only will you learn how to facilitate these, but we’ve also provided downloadable resources to save you precious time such as template risk assessments and kit lists.

By joining our community and becoming a member of Red Squirrel Resources, over the next three months you’ll get our introductory content and then after this you’ll have access to the whole, fast-growing library we’re creating.

    I have found that once you know a collard dove says “coll-ard dove, coll-ard dove” a wood pigeon says “I’m a wood pigeon,I’m a wood pigeon” and a feral pigeon says “who? Who?” you can’t help but say it in your head when you hear one or the other lol

  • @redsquirrelresources5024
    @redsquirrelresources50243 ай бұрын

    Yes! Having words to fit their rhythms does help it stay in your head. I also have: 'I don't know, I don't know' for the dove and for wood pigeon: 'I real-ly don't know, I real-ly don't know'. I can't help but hear that now...

    Arbor Knot..... rules them all...

  • @juancarlosfernandez5442

    The horse hoof fungus (conk mushroom) that grows on birch is greatly helping my multiple auto-immune disorder symptoms. I make tea from it. Make sure you pick fresh ones only. Mine were white...the black ones i found were too old. Boil cut up mushroom for 20 mins and pour your cup. You can and should reuse your horse hoof fungus mushroom by reboiling it for another 20 mins and continue to do so untin the water turns clear. I do many boils from just one mushroom and i store my reserves in a Mason jar in the fridge. This conk fungus has about 100 benefits and boosts immune system. Never take all of the mushrooms you find from one colony so that animals can benefit from them and also so that they can continue to grow. Rule of thumb is to never take more than a 1/3 of a colony of any one mushroom or plant. I also love drinking birch bark or birch twig tea for pain. Both are helping my pains.

    I live a mile from a Great Lake. My property has very sandy soil. Yellow and Paper Birch are in abundance with roots that look like the legs of a spider. Something that you don’t normally see in most of Michigan.
