  You made the mistake about 99% of everyone who makes this upgrade. Did not read the manual. UNLESS to ALSO remove the plugs and re-gap them to a larger gap you DO NOT GET any benefits from having the MSD Coil pack....Widen the gap = More Spark better burn = MORE POWER ---- I ran my plug from .040-.055 depending on the amount of BOOST I was running in my R53. The more boost I had - I would ran smaller gaps around .040-.045. I also ran one to two step colder NGK plugs......

  Wow that’s a cowboy install on the obd cable dude WTAF, honestly can’t believe you actually done that with the you routed the wire from inside to under the bonnet, shocking more ways than one only a matter of time before that fails

  Question, please. I want to remove the chrome surround and clip in a black one, as I don't intend to reuse the chrome one can I just break the clips whilst removing the trim without removing the bumper, and then clip in the new surround trim? Thanks!

  Snapping the clips off - wow - it’s not that hard mate. Also the hydro dipped stuff looks rather awful to me… just get parts really made in carbon or leave it as it is. All that „pretend-wanna-be-lightness“ is just an awful decoration trend…. Just my 2 cents

  Thanks for the video, were there any sensors attached to the back of the bumper? I have heard that there are temperature sensor and pedestrian detector safety sensor that are located somewhere behind the bumper and to be careful with them as can cause a dashboard light if damaged.

  On the Mini 5 door hatch there is a trim (bobbled surface) below the windscreen wipers that butts against the windscreen. Do you know what part no. it is or what it’s called?

  You can use stock bolts for the MSD - just have to remove the sleeves. They can carefully dremmeled off. And do not tighten it down too much. Just snug or it can pull the knurled nut right out of the valve cover ......

  I know this is a year old and I'm sure you've figured it out by now but under the rear seat is a handle that opens the latch for the hatch.

  Would I get away leaving my number plate plinth with 2 small holes in? Holes were from previous owners drilling in number plates. Recently bought short plates but they don't cover over the 2 number plate fixing holes. Won't cause any issues will it?

  Number one you are really tan for somebody with a slightly northern accent. Maybe I got that right maybe I got it wrong But thank you very much this was really informative I have a 2011 John Cooper works that I wanted to change out everything in to match the wrap that I am doing on it you’re just really really helpful all the other ones not so much

  That was a big job to do, thanks ever so much for sharing you time to make video's for us all to follow. I must do this job to my r53 as soon as I've found a garage to work in, mine as holes rusted through were the brake line clips are on the vertical panel behind petrol tank. I'm no mechanic at all, but after watching you and hiephens classics, I'm gonna have a good go!! Keep up the fantastic vids!! 👍👍

  Good video man. Erm I I’m not sure if this is right, but did you get the number plate part the wrong way round? Looks as if the tow bar is on the other side ?

  The tow hook is always on the right hand side, regardless if it’s a right hand drive or a left hand drive car. For cars with PDC it is impossible to mount the black part reversed. I think the same holds true for non-PDC.
