There is not a lot of public bathrooms on Sullivans besides the restaurants and stores. The parking is free in different spots but people get there early to get parking. Have you ever been to Isle of Palms?

Lived there in the late 80s. Surprised how much it and goose creek has grown. Left after hugo in 89 as a kid. Still have family there. Thinking of moving back.

Lived here for 51 years, I remember when North Main Street/Hwy 17 was a two lane road and you had to drive to downtown Summerville to shop. All that infrastructure on 17 you see now was not there, I used to hunt on that land. The only thing I really hate is spring mainly due to the pollen being so bad, my driveway, garages, car and truck, back patio are covered in yellow. Summerville has exploded in growth which means crime has increased also, thank god we have a friendly second amendment state. God bless Texas

Why? 1) No state income tax 2) No state sales tax 3) Free hunting/fishing license and big game tags for residents over 60 4) Annual Permanent Fund Dividend check for every member of the family 5) Waiver of first $150,000 of property assessed for seniors over 65 (state law). 6) Peace and quiet, no traffic, friendly and safe neighborhood

i live in SC. Prefer the upstate to the coast but each has it advantages. Be aware that the roads in SC are the worst in the entire southeast. I am moving across the state line into Ga because the roads are excellent and they don't have a personal property tax on your cars. If you own high dollar cars you will be eaten alive by property taxes that come every year. Property tax on houses is low as correctly stated in the video. Either way, your total cost of living would be a fraction of living in the Northeast.
no state tax in florida. no retirement state tax for social security tax. except the home insurance is high due to hurricane insurance went up like crazy.
Florida is nice too. Prices of homes and hurricane insurance get pricey. You don’t get that in SC. And the weather here gets no where near as hot

@@LivinginCharlestonSC16 Hello.... Nope. I have never lived in Buffalo. I've been a long-suffering Bills fan since 1990 though. I don't think the current head coach McDermott is the guy who can get the team to a Superbowl. That aside... I live in Minnesota. I'm in my young 40s and thinking about early retirement in just a few years. I am looking for a good place "down south" to escape Minnesota winters for a few months per year. I have a rental property in Minnesota and I'm thinking about doing a 1031 exchange to get a small winter place. I had never considered South Carolina before. Your video was eye opening. Great job. 👍
