Massive W. What different paint schemes are we going to get? 80’s, 90’s , 2000’s, early 2010’s?

At the moment, I'm just planning to make the years that ran the older-style S10 body (so 1988 - 1994). I still have to do the second version of the nodebeam, from after the switch to the longer-travel shocks & wider axles in 1990.

Have you ever considered trying out modding on beamng? I know there's a few of the guys from sim monsters that popped over and made lot of interesting content.

@@bulletz4breakfast203 I have played around with BeamNG modding a bit (I posted some videos back in January of the Stomper 1/Stomper Bully 1 truck that I've been working on). I've shifted back over to Rigs of Rods for the time being, since there's a group of people trying to get an old school online racing league started, so there's been a bit of a push lately to get some more trucks & tracks out to support that.

@DiggerFanJSB I missed the video. I'll check it out. Look forward to the old school league. I'd probably get into the racing myself but I definitely need to work on my skill.

Visibility mostly. They originally had a full-size pickup body on the truck, with the driver's seat in the traditional left-side position, until they rolled the truck at an event in early 1988. After the crash, they moved the driver's seat to the centre of the truck and put together a basic sheet metal body, realizing that the centre-seat position & narrowed front end offered much better visibility for the driver, without a full hood obstructing their view as much. The truck ran in that configuration for a few events, including the televised June 1988 event at Louisville Motor Speedway, until TNT Motorsports made a rule change requiring that all trucks had to run a production-style body. The rules didn't stipulate that builders had to maintain the width of the body, though, so Jeff Dane came up with the narrowed body to maintain the improved visibility of the narrowed front end.

I don't understand why they would retire these legendary vehicles, sure... they can't keep up with the evolution of Monster Trucks, but these machines were a category of their own. Id love to see these beasts make a return to motorsport entertainment.
