This is one of my favorite videos on YT, love the way you compiled these clips! Letting the clips tell the story instead of someone talking over is great!

He was hurt, she was hurt. I wish they'd have accidently ended up locked in an elevator for a few hours. Forced together in a room, they'd probably have worked it out. Don't let anger and hurt stop you from talking to someone you care about. I think he thought she was faking all the thank yous and affection if she could leave without asking him his opinion of it but her husband told her not to.

Always enjoyed Tom Snyder. I think I started watching him during his Late Late Show years. He struck me as being extremely intelligent and knowledgable. No topic was off limits and he could navigate through some difficult waters while interviewing people of all walks of life. His journalistic background served him well, as he tried to present the facts and let you figure out which point of view made the most sense. Also, he made for an interesting guest when he appeared on other shows like the Tonight Show. Loved his style and laugh. We were all lucky to see him in action doing his thing.

It's all very very sad. Johnny and Joan had such great chemistry together. They are now both gone. It's a shame Johnny reacted the way he did to Joan getting her own show and them never being able to re-unite. It does disturb me some that Joan was going to "dance on his grave". I understand the anger though, and when it becomes personal like that, it's hard to step back and be civiliazed. Thankfully Joan's love for Johnny was the overriding factor in her changing her mind. Death has a way of waking us up to realize holding a grudge does us no good in the long run.

It's amazing when I think about this: I'm 68 years old and have been entertained throughout my whole life by incredibly gifted and funny comedians and skillful talk show hosts. Comedy is what has kept me sane all these years, and I'm incredibly grateful to have watched the likes of Johnny Carson, Tom Snyder, Steve Allen, Rodney Dangerfield, Norm McDonald, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Joan Rivers, and so so many more funny people. Somehow I've outlived them all, but everytime one of these all-time greats passes away, it feels like a piece of me is gone as well. Thankfully, videos like this allow us to relive these memories. They live on forever - and in the process enrich our lives every day. My personal life hasn't gone as planned and am watching these wonderful clips alone, all the while wishing I was enjoying these with someone I love. But I can still smile and laugh out loud at the hilarious things these superstars of comedy say and do. Comedy is the one drug I'm happy I'm on.

Man, just stumbled onto your channel and I'm super impressed! Just finished watching the Late Night Wars II video. Unbelievable job! Great editing and content! Loved how you skillfully interjected funny clips from Norm McDonald. Looking forward to watching much more of your videos. I'm a new subscriber and fan!

How the hell Jimmy Fallon is still on the air is amazing to me. I watched Johnny Carson for many many years, and Fallon couldn't scoop Johnny's crap out of a toilet. Conan would have been the best Carson replacement because, like Johnny, he's quick-witted, great interviewing skills, and brings the best out of his guests. It's a shame NBC never really recognized what a talent Conan O'Brien was. Thanks Jay Leno, for exposing yourself like the backstabber you are.

Great compilation and visual timeline. Jay Leno is slime - he screwed over David Letterman AND Conan O'Brien. He flopped at 10 pm after bragging for so many years about his ratings. The Tonight Show is BIGGER than Jay Leno will ever be. There's 2 things that piss me off the most: 1) Johnny Carson must be turning over in his grave watching Jimmy Fallon hosting the Tonight Show. Fallon has no clue how to interview guests and literally has nothing funny to say in response to a guests answers. His stupid little singing games are embarrassing. 2) Conan O'Brien handled his business with class and grace - two qualities Jay Leno is unfamiliar with. Leno should be ashamed of himself. ... Great insertion of the Norm McDonald clips. He's the best!

That's all your opinion. What matters is ratings. Leno had them and Conan did not. That is not an opinion... that's a fact.

In the end it was NBC and it's executives that were to blame. I never understood all the animosity towards Jay. Misdirected hostility if you ask me. Truth be told though, nobody had a better monologue than Jay, I don't blame Jay at all for sticking around and doing the job of ANY comedians dream. He was number #1 and got paid a fortune for doing it. Shame on NBC for what they put their talent through. Oh and F Matt Laurer.

Howard Stern, a man of “integrity” Defends Conan while he gets screwed over by NBC, before then turning on him when he joins TBS. Conan spent half his life working for NBC, and they promised him the Tonight show, TBS’s relationship with Lopez lasted 18 months. Yea that’s totally the same thing Howard. Then tries to play the race card on why Lopez got fired. The same man who said “Mexicans have the worst taste in music” and openly mocked Selena after she died, suddenly he’s all “They pushed you out cause you’re Brown.” Go fuck yourself, you grifting Bastard.

I realise asking this on a 5 year old video probably isn't the best, but I may as well ask. This is my only real exposure to Lopez Tonight, is George Lopez' comedy centered entirely on "I am Latino, please laugh"? 'Cause if it is then yeah, no wonder his ratings dropped. There's only so many times you can make the same joke before people get bored of it.
