I created this channel to bring my interest in technology, music and design to a tight platform. I've been a professional artist, composer and designer for 20 years and thought I should share a few tricks and help the future generation of creative producers.
We look deep into new music gear, DAWs (like Bitwig Studio, Logic Pro X, FL Studio), Maschine and Digitakt and an array of third party plugs. We cover a broad spectrum of topics and occasional vlogs where I share design, Blender3D, lifestyle and more creativity tips.
If you feel that these topics can help YOU grow in your field,

Looking forward to see you around!
Many Thanks,

Thanks for your great video. This looks super useful. 🚀
I've tried to convert a drum audio and nothing happened, what can I do? Thanks
Hey Mattias, quick question I want to dabble In music production. I’m looking for a new laptop. I’m basically in the native instruments universe for now just starting out. I have the maschine mk3 and the key 61 mk2. I have komplete 14 collectors edition my question is the base model Mac 8gb ram and 256 storage enough I have all my libraries on an 2tb external drive. Is this Mac have enough power to handle this usage.
Absolutely. But for future capability I would look into 16GB RAM and maybe M1 Pro / Max. I still use the M1 Max its insane! 👌🥳
Thank you, now I know how to setup a midi keyboard in lodick pro.
Great track and summertime! Thank you for share!
Lovely Carlos, happy to hear you enjoy the clip and music! 🥳🎉🥂😃
This helps a ton. Thankyou mate 🙏
Thanks for the instructional video. Now I feel as though I can tune my own piano.
Yes you can 👌🥳
Wo where can I get the l.c.d thing
Its a frequency spectrum analyzer from Bitwig and inserted via Davinci Resolve as an overlay 👌 simple but it works 👌
Is there any table for these type of piano? Sth to put piano on it
Yes, buy / Use normal keyboard stands.
@MattiasHolmgren I didnt watch till the end , does it have pedal?
Hello Mattias, at 08:00... ok, you can't record that audio, but I think there is a point on receiving that audio, what would it be?
I was able to record it on another audio track that would be the answer? thanks
You use audio input on a track if you want to be able to record on the track. Audio receiver device is for routing in order for further / extra processing. But since device chain happens AFTER track lane (arrangement / clip) its not possible to record that audio on the arrangement lane / clip launch lane. So for recording use track input selector (routing).
@@MattiasHolmgren mmm... Ok, I guess I see it now, If the audio was to be recorded on the same track is hast to be sent into the imput of the same track and we would have kind of feedback isn't it?
Lovely Family and inspiring Father !
🙏 yeah, all I can hope for is to inspire. 🎸🥁🥳
I couldn/t' find "Ambient Arp" under the Retro Synth (is this a "stock sound" or something I have to set up?)
Cheers, Mattias! Thanks for sharing.
Hey, thanks. Glad u like the clip! 🥂🥳
Ha en glad sommar!
Detsamma 🎉😊
Nice tune, Mattias and lovely family.❤
Thanks AG 🙏🥳🥁 have a sweet week and vacation u too! 🚀
Starts tomorrow, just a week of music...
@AncientGranules congrats!
what midi keyboard do you use?
Expressive E Osmose. Love it! 👌🥳
The only video that includes how to remove the muting felt 🫡
Thanks, I wanted to show every aspect of a DIY piano tuning session because I didn’t find any good videos doing that. 😄💪🥁🥳
How is the piano sound through a good external speaker?
It sounds good enough. 😃
❤
AMAZING...great explanation...danke
No worries. Good luck 👌😄🥳🥂
hello sir!
Hey
@@MattiasHolmgren thanks for the tip! tusen takk!
My audio midi set up shows my Impact LX61+ however when it comes to installing it, Logic only gives me the LX49+ and i still don’t have full tactile functionality between the midi unit and Logic, i.e. the play masthead and stop functions ff etc aren’t activated to control the DAW.
Did you check the device manual for Logic Pro setup, then if that fails. Contact manufacturer. 👌😃
Clip launcher is kinda confusing to me. Like I understand what it is but why not just use the arrangement view? I can understand using it as a “pallette” for different variations of midi clips though
Clip launch is non linear composition. The benefit is the quick and vast possibilities of your pattern combos you can fire. Endless long composition. But it is also the downside. Its hard to see how much music you have made. 😂 I still mostly prefer linear composition (arranger view), because when working on client projects you need to know you are going somewhere. And how long piece the music is etc. But its fun sometimes experimenting with patterns too (clip launching) You can also combine the modes. Begin with clip launching and render as arrangement. At least that’s about how I approach the two ways of producing.
@@MattiasHolmgren it actually sparked the idea of using it as a way to make and test out various patterns to then add them to your mix as needed. Like: drum pattern A, drum pattern B, etc… Then just paint them into the actual arranger as needed.
Im very confused how the scenes work. Like if one clip is only 2 bars, how does it fit? I don’t really get the point of “scenes”
First: The scene does not control how long the clips will play. If one track clip is 4 bars and a second tracks clip is 2 bars. Thats for how long they will play before repeating. 😄 the scenes is for launching a set of clips in that ”horizontal” lane of tracks with available clips (and control tempo and some more tasks). The clips themselves can be programmed in various ways. Its quite flexible.
hi, i have a couple of questions. this post is an year old, so no idea if you will even be notified to or not but hoping you will. One, i want to know if the powered usb hubs actually work for midi keyboards. I am in india and the only powered usb hub we have available is a powered tplink 7 port usb 3 backwards compatible hub (there are more availible but anker doesnt sell here and others dont seem reliable. I want to use a powered one because i use an audient id4 interface which uses usb power and most midi keyboards now a days use usb power. To reduce the power draw and cable connections directly in my laptop- i want to maybe just have one powered hub that can do that. Two, I am soon going to upgrade my midi keyboard. i want to know which is the best midi keyboard for logic pro use, as in most compatible (with all its knobs and faders) and most easy to setup. We have arturia, novation, Kontrol A and M series also maudio stuff available here. I use a m1 max macbook pro. thank you
Hi, great choice on thr M1 Max. 👌💪 I am sure that TPlink usb hub will work fine. Regarding Midi keys I would recommend Komplete Kontrol S61 if u use NO stuff. Arturia is great choice too. If you want a REALLY great midi controller (channel strip) controller for Logic Pro nothing beats the Nektar Panorama CS12. 🥳
@@MattiasHolmgren @MattiasHolmgren thanks for the usb hub. so I use logic pro and mostly work with Guitars. I have seen the S61 and it's definitely exciting but I don't think that's in my budget. It's quite pricey here touches a 1000 dollars plus very rarely available. I was thinking between the keylab essential, launchkey, kontrol A series, and maudio oxygen pro. That's around where my budget is too. I just saw the panorama, very cool. I am thinking if I get that I can just use any midi keyboard without the need for any knobs or faders on it. That seems interesting. Good option. Still do let me know if any of the above keyboard options are at all worth getting if I have to. Thanks man. Thanks a tonne. 👍🏻
Hello, I was reading on Bitwiggers your instructions about loading and saving a preset. What happens if a create a folder named: "NewPresets\Polysynth" for instance on: Drive:\Installed Bitwig Packs\5.0\Bitwig\Essentials\Presets\NewPresets\Polysynth Will it be read by Bitwig?
Thank you for a great demonstration!
Thx for the sweet feedback! CS12 is a great device for Logic Pro.
I wouldn’t use KRK to compare against anything…they’re awful.
Ok 😂
I wonder how Plasmonic would sound with this keyboard being MPE and all.😊
Maybe we need to try in a video 👌🥳
What headphones are you using?
Ollo Audio S5X latest edition. Best cans I ever tried.
I maintain that, until ableton’s mobile app caters to live performers a bit that Loopy Pro is currently king.
😉
Good trick. S&H would be more to my liking rather than curves but a great idea 👍
Great yeah many ways to get the ball rolling/bouncing in BW.
why does your voice wobble when u speak?
Was sick. 🥵
Superb Video Brother.
Thanks bro! 💪🥁🥳
@@MattiasHolmgren I work for Volvo, the beautiful Swedish company
Hello Mattias, I have this question; at 05:00, is there a way to isolate and record Only the Reverb Effect? I mean isolate an record Only a particular effect produced by a device? that would be Without the original audio signal. Thanks
Yes, (one way) T1 has original unprocessed audio. use audio receiver or track input on a (T2) second track, on this track add effect of choice (reverb) set it to 100%wet. Set a (3) third tracks input to the output of T2…. Record what u like on T3.
@@MattiasHolmgren Yes yes, Mattias very good and many thanks.
Actual goat omg 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
I honestly find it annoying that you just play a single sound from onmiesphere. That can basically be done by any laptop. I thought you would put several sounds in parallel until you took it to the limit😢
Its separate instances. Any laptop can not compete with this. Look at the cpu meters. 🥳
Nektat panorama t4 vs Nektar Impact LX61+ ???
I may lose an entire day to this thing when it arrives tonorrow😂 Roland TD-1K electronic drum set …well…I hardly knew ye!😂😂
Awesome
Can't do vocal audio to midi without extensive cleanup
Good video👍
Thanks
Looks nice, but after downloading it I'm super frustrated: no matter in whatever plugin folder I put the "NeuralNote.vst3", it doesn't appear in my DAW!! ☹ (I'm using Studio One Pro without any problems otherwise...)
What OS? Make sure the vst3 is in the correct location / folder! Also run plugin manager and rescan for new plugins (if necessary)… just some ideas to try!
@@MattiasHolmgren Thanks a lot for taking your time to answer me (and so quick!), but I already tried that; put that thing into _several_ folders (all of which contain plugins I use without any problem); rescanned and even restarted the whole program a number of times - nothing worked... Then I tried the Standalone Version - that _did_ work, but totaly inaccurate: the midi file is way longer than the audio file and so it is, of course, totally not in sync... (Interestingly, I got the same result when trying out to do that _online_ on an AI page...) Really frustrating; especially since it looks so easy in your video. ^^ Oh, and my OS is Windows 10.
@@MattiasHolmgren P.S.: In the beginning you mentioned that some DAWs have this exact function on board already - is there any _free_ DAW among these?
@@geronomina6395 hmmm it’s been a while since I played around with free DAWs. So I have no idea.
@@MattiasHolmgren Okay...
Thank you for this free lesson!
You are so welcome 🎙️🥳🎉🎸
ok, but how do you save it as default ? so that it load every time as "new" ?
Sure, save a template. Set behaviour to open that template in BW behaviour settings. 🥳
Somehow I can't find the Big String Section. Strange
Weird, ask Presonus.
@@MattiasHolmgren Sorry, I found it!
What is the full gb size of falcon 3?
App about 1GB. Factory content 1.1GB = 2.1GB. ;)
Hej! I use logic pro... planning to buy apogee ensemble thunderbolt + black lion revolution 2x2, use the black lion clock as master. I'm worried that aggregating will be aggravating (!) hoping this will work for 10 a/d ins!! Thanks 👍 Jon
Hi Jon, some ”aggregate device” combos work better than others. I currently run Antelope Zen Tour as a master with an Arturia 8pre as ADAT slave. No agg device setup needed in that case, only ADAT optical to give an extra 8 ins and 8outs.
My big question is how robust is it? How will it last?
I use it daily basis since this video, nothing broken down on me yet.
I haven't listened to music from recent years for a while... I think streaming kinda ruined a lot of listener experience. I also tried those tools... don't know what to think of it as I agree they sound like what's in the market right now... but I would like to consciously support human musicians who put effort to their creation instead of prompt engineers who don't care and has no craft.
Well said. 👌🥳
Great video, thank you. :)
You are so welcome Tom. Im having a blast with the Osmose! My main studio keys now! 👌
