Please do not look at this as a critisism, and normally I wouldn't say anything however. Marcus, why would you assume that the employees of an airline would not enjoy their job or what they do, any less than how you enjoy what you do. Should we assume YOU don't enjoy working with your clients? That said, I believe I am of very similar mind and possibly similar kind of professional background as you (I may be wrong because I don't know you personally). I am a Professional Audio Engineer by trade and am thankful everyday that I get to do what I enjoy, and yes as much as some days there are real challenges to continue in this service business I continue to do it. Who wouldn't want to play with toys every day right? While you may or may not be correct about an employee. Speaking generally about other professionals and how they feel about doing their job is not very fair. I can't imagine the challenges airline employees must deal with and I and possibly others might appreciate them keeping that positive attitude. I agree that using an airline can make one feel like cattle being processed. and absolutely the whole business seems broken sometimes from inefficient processes. That all said, Thank you for doing what you do. I have been a long time viewer of your channel and Value all of the knowledge you and the group pass along. In fact, part of the appeal is your no nonsense point of view. I have time and again done my best to use what I have learned from your programs for creating content on my channel and I truly believe I am a better Photographer as a result. Keep up the great work!!!
Do you upload to Apple?
@@mainephotographer19 yes. We are on Apple Podcasts.
Another great podcast. In regards to Marcus's comments on the earth rise photo, "I love how Americans talk to each other." As an American I love hearing folks from the British isles talk. Never get tired of the banter and your accent. Love Photography Online.
As Karl Pilkimgton once said.. I thought that wasabi was a mushy pea... Harry and Ruth dangling camera over cliff without strap made me nervous 😂
So it would appear Marcus has turned into Victor Meldrew
@@markseymour2121 “turned”? He’s always been that way. No turning required!
Great episode as always, already listened on Spotify just dropped in here to give a "like" and some love. :)
It’s appreciated, thanks!
Black Magic Da Vici Resolve is a fantastic professional standard programme for video editing. It can be had as a free a free version or a paid for studio version with a perpetual licence. The free version is fully functional and is fine for many users. Inevitably the studio version has more facilities. For any serious video editor it is worth looking at.
Ruth is in her prime!
Cool to see a video like this one this long after both cameras have been released! I own a 5DsR and personally mostly use it with Zeiss Milvus lenses - a very good match, those Milvuses blow most Canon L optics (except the very long lenses that are still king in their category) out of the water when it comes to both sharpness and other optical parameters (their drawback is no autofocus, though). I still shoot the 5DsR and any upgrade from there would be going into the medium format land (e.g. GFX). A significant drawback of the 5DsR compared to D850 is the signal-to-noise ratio. As is quite visible on the images in the video, the D850 has far less noise in the shadowy parts of the images. That is something I need to do bracketing and exposure stacking to compensate for - and it is not always an option for moving subjects.
The reason that planes are loaded from the front is simple, it is so that the first class ticket holders can board without having to pass by the common people
This makes no sense, as by boarding first class first, they then have to sit on the plane for an extra 30 mins while the common people squeeze past them. Surely it would make more sense to keep the first class passengers in their lounge until everyone else is in their seat!.
I have been extolling the Kodak cameras for years. My first I bought in 2004 from Jessops which I still own and use. It is a bridge camera with a 10x optical zoom and 4 megapixels. It has PASM and Auto plus scene modes. Kodak colours are great. Video is crap, but I have never been into filmography anyway. Over the years I purchased 2 more Kodak cameras which I passed onto my grandson so he could start learning the art. I have photos taken with the Kodak that equal my current Canon 90D in terms of clarity and sharpness. After Kodak's big demise a German firm bought the Kodak name and it is they who still produce the PixPro series mentioned in the program. I think the only retailer in Britain is Argos. Great little cameras that take great pictures and are not just for carrying around to give someone street cred. Give one a try Marcus, I think you will be surprised.
I hate the "TV" format. nice info on printing
Much prefer the podcast to the KZread show
Hi,I once heard that if an aicraft was loaded at the rear first, there would be a danger of it tipping onto it's tail because of the shift in weight passed the centre of gravity. In fact. I have seen small turboprop machines with a Prop under the tail.
The tail support is used until passengers board the plane and move the CG forward.
If everybody got onto a plane at the back first the front would lift up.
I'm one of a few different photographers who shoot roller derby in my area. A small signature allows people who re-use/repost pics to know who to credit for the pic
Watermarking pictures, great rant James, sadly I'm one of those who irritate you by putting a logo in the bottom corner of my shots I share online, (I created a brush in photoshop to do so) I only started doing that after I found that several of my pictures had appeared on other people's websites without any reference to myself, how ever I now realise that the exercise is pointless now because of the existence of AI! 😢 so ill stop doing it now! Great podcast full of relevant topics and interesting points of view (and that is genuinely ment Ruth as was my comment you read out 😊)
I bought all my posters from Athena.
*Remember, downloadable content. Photography Online: Podcast, a great new Media addition, without needing _'Spotify.'_ 📸 🏴
Literally the only podcast I listen to on Spotify. Can I make it to listen on youtube? ....
If you listen on Spotify then there is no point in listening here on KZread. We only upload it here for those who don't usually listen to podcasts.
Excellent
Excellent video
@@NikCan66 welcome back!
One of the best videos I have seen on visiting Skye - thanks
Another fantastic episode. Tnx for all the great work to produce these interesting segments each month. Always great to see the passion coming through in each of these. Especially enjoyed photographing strangers as that is always very intimidating. Keep up the wonderful work.
Thanks for having us along on your journey, team! 🙌🏼
If you do film you ought to dev and print yourself
I am an active darkroom printer (... good at it...) and I say that Robin is an absolute master.
Great show, great tipps, great Storys....and great Photos!! As Always love the "Analogue Section"......thank you all!!
Another great video everyone. Loved the carolina reaper stunt Marcus. James's face was a picture and Harry was crying. Well James got you back Marcus with the chair scene lol. I thought you were very close to the edge of the cliff Ruth to get your shots. I thought it was a bit of a risk You certainly captured some really nice image's when you went out on your own Ruth.. Marcus i think you are the master when it comes to film photography. Your image's are absolutely stunning. Look forward to the next show.
@@timrosenburgh8597 thanks as always Tim. More to come.
Great show. Well done everyone.
Great content in this latest episode. The chili pepper gag was hilarious, poor Harry and James. The wildlife feature was interesting and it was good that Harry covered a bit about fieldcraft and the welfare of the subject - that is so important in wildlife photography. Re the two Silver Birch images, definitely the first version, the sky was much more interesting.
Great start to your wildlife journey Ruth
Brilliant
Love this but … the background music is distracting
@@outtathyme5679 the music is what gives the features their pace and atmosphere. If it wasn’t there, you probably wouldn’t love it so much!
5:21 I gotta admit I have never seen anyone use a gimbal mount like that before! 😂
Photography Online is the Top Gear for Photographers!😂 love the show
Loved the portraits. The light, colours and subjects were all fantastic.
A car buff would want a picture of the pre-revolution Dodge with the contemporary Dodge Ram symbol in the grill.
Cuba is stunning. Would love to join a photography tour there. Just wish James would stop calling senior women, “old ladies”
James: Loved the street portraits! Nicely done.
Brilliant wildlife section, but so close to the edge 😮
I would never sit or stand on a cliff edge with out a camera strap around my neck or wist in case I loose my footing, great video as always.
James!!! More time in Cuba Port Favor!
Geez, that did not seem like an hour! Thanks to all off you for entertaining so many of us...well done on the wildlife sound mixing, very pleasing 🎉 The sprocket holes definitely add something to an image 👏👏
Fantastic segment from Cuba beautiful pictures
