Sharing one of my favorite interests; flipping through books and curriculum!!
Homeschooling my kids because I loved being homeschooled and, hopefully, passing along a love of learning and reading to them!
Let's discover and flip through books and curriculum and find new favorites for our home library or homeschool!

Hey sweet mama..just subscribed to your channel. These resources look wonderful. I think it's a great idea to teach our little ones about the elections. Thank you for sharing! 🙏☺️
Glad it was helpful! It's a part of life, and I want my boys to appreciate the vote they'll have someday. Glad to have you, I really enjoy sharing the resources I find!
Hi!! Do you think the teachers manuals are neccesary??
@andreapaola18 when I flipped through the English Teachers Manual at the homeschool conference it didn't feel like something I needed for the lower levels. As the concepts advance in higher levels it might be something I would find useful (but I didn't look through those). I Didn't see a Teacher's Manual for the spelling. It might depend on the confidence of the teacher.
@@aRealPageTurnerWithEcho thanks a lot
We’re learning all about presidents, government, and elections over the next couple months - that election night game looks really cool, I think I’ll have to check it out!
It's the perfect time for it! Did you see in the description I added the expansion pack that has Citizenship Question cards?
@@aRealPageTurnerWithEchoooh I didn’t! I need to check those out too 😁
I've got them in my cart already lol
Elections! Anyone else a little burnt out on the political drama going on but still think it's an important topic to cover?
I don’t use any rod and staff curriculum but I have several books by Rod and Staff publishing that I’ve found used, and I really love the Christian values in them ❤
That focus on the Bible and good character drew me to it too! I was thankful to get to thumb through it all at the homeschool conference.
Thank you for this flip through! When I bought this I didn't realize it covered 2 states per week. We homeschool year round except for the last 2 weeks in July. With doing 2 states per week, did/do you find that pace too fast? I have a soon to be 3rd grader. Now I'm contemplating switching for a curriculum that covers the states a slower pace.
@thistangledmama I didn't follow their recommended 4-day a week schedule. It wasn't important to me to finish in a year. The content is so good I'd say either take it at your own pace and do it as long as it takes or skip sections if you want it to move along quicker... or save it for something they could read and do on their own in the future. Gotta do what's the right fit for your student and priorities!
This looks really good! I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for it 😊
Hope it blesses your family too!
I could definitely see us using this again through the years!
When you find something they want to read...🎉
This looks really good! I love using resources like this to read through with my kids during the summer - I’ll have to put it on a list for next summer 🤗 thanks for sharing!
It's so good!! I love summer reading... catching up on all the good stuff we haven't gotten to yet 😁
I love the videos! Thank you so much for sharing!
I'm glad you're enjoying them! I love sharing what I've found 😊
Do you have a positive grandma/food memory? I remember always having home made bread, biscuits, rhubarb sauce, and jell-o squares!
Outtakes are always a favorite part… even better with adding the kids! Loved seeing inside this kit! Having different elements in it in order to teach was super neat
I love the outtakes too 😂 definitely got some gems with the kids! Glad it was a good look inside the kit for you.
Do you have a favorite subscription box you've tried?
Great review! I can't wait to start soon 🙂
Awesome! Hope your family loves it as much as we have 😊 @SummerLFelix what time period did you pick?
I’d love to find a curriculum swap near me - it sounds so cool! I’m currently working on getting all my curriculum picks posted to my (brand new!) channel! Check it out if you have a chance 🥰
Check with your library or local homeschool groups, hopefully you can get one going! I'll check out your channel, thanks for sharing 😊
New subscriber here! Love seeing how you do your portfolios! I like to make a few scrapbook pages to include pictures of my kids, as well as some of the projects they did, plus several pages of each subject to see how their work progressed over the year!
It's neat to have a snapshot of the year to look back on! I think I'd still put one together even if we decide to do testing some time.
Lately I’ve been loving the I Am: 40 reasons to trust God devotional, it’s been our evening devotional with my oldest two boys who are 3rd and 1st graders 😊
Ooh I'll have to look into that one. There's one I'm doing with my fellas now that has been really good and I'll do a video of it sometime for sure.
Love the review! I’m planning on using this one this year with my kids 😊
Glad it was helpful! It's such a sweet book ❤️
What would you include in a portfolio?
I was so excited that the storyline covered the biblical feasts!
Have you been to a swap? Was it set up like this one?
Such a wonderful walk-through of our Curriculum Guide & Catalog! Thank you for sharing and also for all the work you're doing to serve the homeschool community through your channel.
We're definitely on the same team! This guide is so helpful. Glad you liked my video on it.
I love the traditional styles of Rod and staff. We have used cle and it has a similar feel. Thanks for sharing. Just subscribed. I also have a channel and would love to be friends and connect. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
There are so many great ways to teach and learn! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊 I'll check out your channel, thanks for connecting.
I filmed this at the right time! My friend Sarah was just looking into this. Hope this is helpful 😊
Back a couple decades ago when I was homeschooling I would have loved a resource like this!
It is such a help! A couple decades ago there weren't nearly the abundance of options we have now.
Do you find this many comparisons helpful or overwhelming?! 😂
What are some other great math games?
Helpful honesty. It's okay to set something aside.
Gotta keep curriculum in its place as a tool!
Have you had a "right curriculum, wrong time"?
We love MM and have been using it along side Singapore Math for years. Math With Confidence replaced our SM program this past school year, and we do not regret the change one bit. MM is still one of our top picks though, and I will probably continue to use it with my middle schooler until there aren't any levels left for her to do. I was extremely glad to see a new review and flip through of MM because there sure aren't many!
I was thankful we found it! And that's exactly why I started doing flip throughs... there's so many options and it helps to see inside 😁
Do you have a favorite kids devotional? I prefer short that leads to open conversations.
Great flip through! 😊
Thank you! Glad it was helpful 😊
Reading! Such an important life skill. Anyone else feel amazed at the weight of teaching it and when you see growth? I am!
Oh, also, we are planning a unit study at some point on all things nautical. We are super excited for it! Maybe we'll read this again during that time.
This would be a great addition to a nautical study! It includes so many vocabulary words and explains them in a natural way.
This is on multiple suggested reading lists but it's the first time I've personally seen someone actually talking about it. Neat!
It's so helpful to me to see inside when choosing what we use!
Loved checking this workbook out. I’m considering using this one for next year! Thanks for the sneak peak 📚
Glad you found it helpful. Hope you find just the right fit for next year!
I love when we can combine multiple subjects! Anyone else?
So many interesting and helpful quotes from this conference. Encouraging!
Glad you enjoyed it and are encouraged!
Ever been to a homeschool conference? This was my 2nd time and I'd definitely like to go again!
Math Mammoth was a great switch for us last year!
Thanks for the great flip-through!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for the great curriculum!
Living Books really draw my boys in and help us remember what we're learning!
I can see why this is such a complete interesting set
Glad you enjoyed the flip through!
Love hearing about this curriculum! We’ve never used it. I’m a new subscriber. I also have a homeschool youtube channel
Seeing a flip through video is what introduced me to it, and it's been such a good fit for us! I'll check your channel out 😊 thanks for subscribing.
I think visual timelines are so helpful! I have a large one on our wall.
Anyone else LOVE these photos!?
I love the various styles and content when using living books! Do you use Living Books with your history curriculum?
