  I love gopro12 for photography. Get a tiny handheld extendable pole and a $30 remote and it will become so much easy for you .

  I use the self timer most of the time . The shutter button on my action 2 is quite stiff. The timer also allows me to change grip to avoid shooting my fingers. I know it’s expensive but for stills the Sony RX0 is brilliant. Such a lovely light shutter release. Love your shots btw 👍🏻

  @@mikeosbourne Oh btw, Affinity Photo for iPad is great for Dji raw files. Couldn’t believe just how good they turned out. It’s particularly good at bringing out the shadows.

  sorry i'm at 6:30 and was paying half attention lol. Did you shoot in RAW for the GoPro and edit the photos on your computer afterwards? or are those photos your'e showing SOOC (straight out of the camera)?

  Thats not how you do two cameras comparison especially in natural light - you need to mount them on same bracket and release shutter synchronously

  @@mikeosbourne you are not ready for the book, get the basics right for starters - natural light is constantly changing so an exposure taken now is not same as taken next second even on one and same camera

  I dunno maybe it's a usecase issue but I can't see myself stressing over this level of lowlight quality. Single lens action cams, cell phones and of course full frame cameras have a leg up on quality. However, for my own vacation videos this is fine. I'll take the convenience factor over stressing about amazing image quality when it comes to things like that. Even if I wanted to vlog and post it on IG/YT/Tiktok, my voice over is probably more of a draw than the image quality of some lowlight venues.

  Thanks for the video. I just picked up a Hero12 as an everyday carry for still images since you can shoot RAW, but can you help me understand why when I download the images to my computer, they are 3-4mp JPEG's. If I import directly into Lightroom, they are converted to DNG and they are around 11mp. I'd like them to be twice that, as advertised. Thank you in advance.

  Hey thanks for checking out the video, when i shoot I shoot both raw and jpg, so I have both options. Maybe check your GoPro settings

  @@iamrusselryan No I haven't figured it out. I have since bought a different camera for stills on the go, but obviously it's much larger, so I'd still like to know how to get the GoPro to record quality images. I have done some research and reached out to several people online, but nothing.

  If you look closely, the iPhone looks a bit overdone, and the GoPro looks like a camera. Pro photographer here, but new to GoPro. Go pro also has more manual control.

  Hi mike, i have been watching ur videos make me know that actions cam too are good for fotography. But i notice it counts down (3....2...1) before taking a picture after pressing the shutter.... Dont you think priceless moments can be lost doing that?

  Hey! Honestly I’d stick with the DSLR, as the picture quality is better. If you want a action camera I’d recommend DJI action osmo 4
