Sorry to hear about your knee. Apart from the six-speed manual, V6 cars are available with a six-speed torque converter automatic. The four-cylinder car only comes with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Great question. When accelerating to higher speeds, a carbon fibre deflector on the bonnet raises which is part of McLaren’s Active Air Management System (AAMS). You can also use a helmet and there is space under the rear tonneau cover for two helmets. However, the car is available with a windscreen to ensure it is road legal in some markets.

I love the 959, it’s heritage, and the innovation it brought to super cars of it’s era. In my opinion, it’s the coolest Porsche of the 80’s. That said… I can’t take my eyes off of the Reventón behind it! Thanks for sharing!
