Fantastic bit of classic TV, it’s a shame we don’t see proper programs made like this today!! Also very good country programs from yesteryear to watch are Jack’s Game and Out of Town/Old Country!! 👍🏻

Charming vintage documentary, on our lovely and much-missed Queen Mum. She had the most glorious final act to her long life, busier and more popular than ever as the dowager Queen. What a treat to see the late and also lamented Danny La Rue! I fear humanity has regressed since 1982, in many fundamental ways. Even the innocence of the children we see here is hard to find today. Thank you for sharing!

My memories about him was one of my brothers used to see him perform at the Tottenham Royal(e) with the DC5, the next one was another brother was on honeymoon in Bournemouth and the DC5 were on the beach enjoying themselves circa 1965, suppose they were appearing there per night . My last memory I read had a very complicated vision condition hope he beat that to enjoy life again. I always joked it was lucky the DC5 were not living above us rehearsing Bits and Pieces. RIP.
