Fantastic bit of classic TV, it’s a shame we don’t see proper programs made like this today!! Also very good country programs from yesteryear to watch are Jack’s Game and Out of Town/Old Country!! 👍🏻

Sadly owners of Balcombe Estate invited oil drilling / fracking industry onto their estate in 2013, very controversial, huge protests.

Takes me back to my childhood days ..Open Fields ..stone walls..Hawthorn hedges for fences..Laying in the Wheat field looking up watching a Airplane go over...didn't see many back then...Wondering where they were going to...and would I ever go in one..but Country life was amazing...Following animal tacks on the snow...

What I admire about anyone is how they persevere Yes the royal family have tremendous help but they still have to show up whether they want to or not Imagine being helicoptered to Bradford on a cold rainy morning to open a renal unit when you're not feeling well Yet decade after decade day in day out they were there looking amazing and smiling and being interested Not as easy as it looks 🇬🇧🇬🇧

Charming vintage documentary, on our lovely and much-missed Queen Mum. She had the most glorious final act to her long life, busier and more popular than ever as the dowager Queen. What a treat to see the late and also lamented Danny La Rue! I fear humanity has regressed since 1982, in many fundamental ways. Even the innocence of the children we see here is hard to find today. Thank you for sharing!

My memories about him was one of my brothers used to see him perform at the Tottenham Royal(e) with the DC5, the next one was another brother was on honeymoon in Bournemouth and the DC5 were on the beach enjoying themselves circa 1965, suppose they were appearing there per night . My last memory I read had a very complicated vision condition hope he beat that to enjoy life again. I always joked it was lucky the DC5 were not living above us rehearsing Bits and Pieces. RIP.

I an in SE England too and I like the 80 year old go out into the garden and work there and nothing cheers you more than being in nature. I have given up fighting grey squirrels however as there are vast numbers and every year they eat or destroy 100% of the plums
